Terra Nova

So much potential, but they turn it into a family drama with a few dinosaurs

Oh look, NBC has the most shows on the list, and they want to cancel 3 of their best ones. That network is run by imbeciles.

Pretty soon it'll be nothing but reality shows because they don't know how to promote their scripted series and keep wasting money producing crap like Wonder Woman that everyone but them knew would fail.

I haven't seen 95% of this list.

The River had a lot of potential, I didn't watch it though. It looked really cool.

NBC needs to get better shows. It's sitcom after sitcom.

And I agree with the poster that said Whitney should be on this list.

WTF.

I was actually warming up to this and it was a great suspense thriller like last week when I thought Giancarlo was actually dead but he wasn't at all.

Just checked my DVR and it says there is another episode this Thursday.

ETA: I assume that this will be the series finale?

Just another example of the networks being an impatient ratings whore.

Never had a chance. It's another one of those shows that will never gain viewers after the premier, only lose them. Nobody is going to try a new show out 3 episodes in when the first episodes are so important to the plot line, no matter how much it's talked about.

Yep. Serialized dramas, especially those that are based in some sort of mystery that drives the plot, hardly ever work on network TV unless there is huge initial buzz that carries over.

Shows like Fringe and Person of Interest are the exception because they contain a lot of procedural and episodic elements where single episodes can be self-contained and enjoyable without having to have watched every previous episode.

Exactly. HBO and Showtime can get away with it because they replay the show 4 or 5 times throughout the week, so if you missed something it's easy to catch up. ABC did the same thing to Traveler and I'll never forgive them for that.
