Hockey, easily. Wayne is so far ahead of everyone else in so many categories, and he holds so many all-time records that it's pretty much inconcievable that we'll ever ever ever see another hockey player do the same things that he did.

Jordon took a "break" to play baseball in the prime of his basketball career and still is without question the goat in basketball. Imagine if he'd kept playing.

Gretzky has more assists than the #2 player has goals and assists combined. It's really not close.

He took a 1.5 year break in his prime. It wouldn't change anything.

Babe Ruth had a career .342 average with 714 home runs.

And, oh by the way, he was 94-46 as a pitcher with a 2.28 ERA.

Being the GOAT doesn't equal most championships.

The 1.5 years he took off are the only years the bulls didn't win the championship. THey could have won 8 in a row. Thats nuts. I think Basketball is more competitive, because more people play.

No, because Eddy Merckx was better.
