Is Joffrey Baratheon the most despicable character ever written?

Just when I thought the highlight of Joffrey's horrible shite was beating and flailing a naked Sansa in Royal Court, he really outdoes himself with the whores. I'm just really struggling to think of a single redeemable quality about him.
Aside from Buffalo Bill (and he's just another creature entirely), I can think of redeeming qualities to every great villain ever, whether its their ambition, tenacity, resourcefulness, intelligence, or sheer badassery. In many of these regards, you really start to like the antagonist somewhat. But Joffrey has nothing going for him. He's a bully, a coward, a punk, a psychopath, stupid, and just all around evil. Its as if you took all the worst qualities of Draco Malfoy and Amon Goeth, and multiplied it by infinity.
I really can't think of a villain that comes close to Joffrey in being such a loathsome pile of shite. Is there anyone else even in the argument?

Yeah he is pretty fricked up but.... spoilerish if you haven't read the books
Roose Bolton's bastard is even worse IMO and the tickler is pretty sadistic as well.

Like is previously mentioned there are a couple of others who are similar to him. But yeah he's an absolute turd. I hate him even more on the show than I did in the book. At least Cersi loves her kids.

The actor playing him looks like a complete butt hole himself. The guy may be the most giving and kind hearted individual you'll ever meet IRL but he looks like you would expect Joffrey to look.

They didn't cast him yet. Most assume they somehow changed the storyline to have him appear next season.
