Even with you pointing that out my biggest problem is the funky short wings. I like the Pelicans logo that dgtiger posted on page 12 a lot better.

Yeah this looks pretty damn good but it is too much purple. Really nice idea though.

oh i know they are more aggressive than they seem but a logo of the pelicans just doesnt scream intimidation to me.

Took out some of the unnecessary yellow out of the lettering and added symbol at the bottom.

New Orleans Buccaneers..?
It brings back the old ABA name and it keeps with some history in New Orleans, Jean Lafitte and his buccaneers. I could see this making sense, especially with the bicentennial of the war of 1812 being this year.
