I will admit I bought a Cherry Poppin Daddies cd in junior high. That swing sound was popular for a year or two.

Someone gave me a John Denver album when I was little...I thought that was music.

Oh, and I had a Fat Boys album too.

One hit wonders. Not sure what's so surprising about that.

For me..............crap, that list is long. But hard to determine if it's because they were crap or I just grew out of them.

A few I listened to a lot but don't touch anymore are Gin Blossoms, The Cranberries, and Oasis. I used to think Oasis was the greatest thing out there and whoever didn't think so was an idiot missing out. Once I started to play the guitar and listen to other bands, their generic song structures and lyrics were a bit overhyped.

Oasis - the reasons you gave are probably why the only had a couple of great albums in them... But those first 2 were great rock and roll

Skynyrd

Hank Jr.

I guess neither actually suck, but both are formulaic and other artists are much better representatives of their genre. And I've heard so much of both over the years that I'm sick of them.

Definitely Maybe and Morning Glory........I could probably still listen to from time to time. "Married With Children" was the first song I learned to play on guitar

ETA: Also, I think their obsession with being bigger and better than the Beatles (and their delusional belief that they were) was, from the beginning, their downfall.
