I go to destin every year, just trying to find out some new places to eat. Price doesnt matter, but i will admit that the more we have paid for food the shitter it has tasted.

We've been discussing that very thing here:

LINK

It's mostly crappy food in that area, but there are a few good places that have been noted

Cuvee Bistro. It is now being run by Tim Creehan(sp) who used to run Beachwalk Cafe. Not cheap but the menu is excellent and the food was off the chart last time I was there in January.

AJs is the single worst restaurant in america. Try the Love Shack down past Sandestin

Eat east a time or two. Drop some cash at Cafe Tango and you shouldn't be disappointed(call a week or two ahead for reservations. Cfe 30A is very nice too...reservations booked well ahead of time will still be needed.

For family atmosphere seafood, I like Bayou Bill's east of town. Pretty good sushi at Osaka.

Destin as a whole is a horrible place to eat

Maybe that explains how the surest sign of spring around here is the daily question on where the "best" place to eat there is.

Hwy 98 BBQ across from the entrance to Hidden Dunes.

The drive down 30-A is worth it.

I don't expect anything, really. I usually cook my own food whenever I go. The eating options really aren't that good.

I was just giving someone shite that said AJs was the worst restaurant in AMerica. It's really just par for the course.

Graffiti had really good pizza, they were closed last spring when i went.

They had a good steakhouse, I want to say Copper Grill, right before Sandestin that was also good. I think it has closed as well.

That traffic in the summer just isn't worth going out to eat if you are staying in Desint. Esp if you try and hit some 30-A restaurants. My recommendation would just be to skip Destin all together and stay in one of those small communities off 30-A.
