What an abortion of a movie. Turned it off an hour in. Anyone feel the same? Had so much potential but looked as if it was directed and written by a fifth grader. And the acting??? woof...

Only Avenger movie I haven't seen.

Heard it was pretty bad by a trusted source. He said to run away from this movie as fast as you can.

thought it was Thor, which was easily the most boring marvel movie.

Cap just didnt have a lot going for the film. I think it was "lets crank it out so we can do the avengers now"

I thought it was decent. Not nearly as good as Iron Man or Incredible Hulk, but not bad.

On a related note, early reviews seem to suggest The Avengers may be the best Marvel film yet. Take that for what it's worth

I thought it was like Thor...a serviceable comic book movie. Formulaic, but entertaining. Forgettable, but nothing egregiously wrong with it.

If you think it's an "abortion," I think you need to watch more movies.

I think this movie told the origin of Captain America as well as it could be told.

I thought it was good. It told the origin of Capt America really well. It also did a good job of linking Rogers to Howard Stark.

People liked Iron Man so much because of the personality portrayed by RDJ. Tony Stark's arrogance and burlesque attitude is a lot easier to portray on the big screen.

I left midway through the movie and went to dinner.

You're aware you're watching a comic book action movie right? I'd rank them as follows..

Batman movies.
First Class
Iron Man movies

Captain America
Spiderman 1-2
X-men movies
Thor

Hulk
Spider man 3

Superman

It's not an abortion like you think it is. But it's not oscar worthy IMO. It did what it was supposed to accomplish which was tell the origin story and be a primer to the Avengers.

It's a decent flick for when you need to kill some time.

I liked it okay overall but it was lacking some substance. I'd recommend it if options are limited.

My favorite part was when he disguised himself and snuck into the evil Nazi factory, while sporting his shiny bright shield with the stars and stripes. And by favorite part I mean the most stupid focking part.

I liked the beginning and most of the middle of the movie.

I just felt the enhanced weaponry and cosmic cube angle were silly. If Red Skull could build stealth bombers and lasers, he really never even needed the cosmic cube to conquer the world.
