I realize some of the posters here are farmers or work for the Timber Industry, so there should be some good ones. What I am interested in is stories from guys who work "normal" jobs. I have a few, but want to see some others posted first.

I work with 2 that even SeaWorld can't contain.

Only if you are an eskimo and are legally able to shoot it.

I have encounters with bears, elk, moose, and pronghorn antelope while working on golf courses in Wyoming and Montana. Nothing scary but the bear had us on our toes for a few hour while we located her and the cubs again.

this is a story from my dad at work.

My dad is a blue collar bad arse type of man who has built barges his entire life. At his work they had a big open warehouse type shop where they would build all the barges that was probably 250 yards long and open on one end. One day a buck(10 point) got in the ware house and got all turned around and was frickin shite up. Throwing tools up in the air, flipping over tables etc. They finally got him to run out to the open end towards the woods and the property line. On the property line they had a wood fence that stopped about a 100 yards from a canal. The dear killed himself by running full speed into the last 2 planks of the fence because he was so freaked out. So basically if he would been a foot to the right he would have been scott free, instead he broke his neck

I saw a 4 foot alligator walking across a cow pasture as I was leaving the site today. I was not expecting that...

Also, while collecting water samples in a very remote canyon in NM, I noticed as I was walking out, large Mountain Lion prints in my prints from walking in. It scared me shitless.

i happen to work in a bad part of town with my job (north baton rouge). anyway, one day i am sitting in a park by the airport on a cold arse morning. i am sitting there watching five deer in a BREC park just hanging out.

while sitting there a buddy who hunts some prime property in st. francisville calls me bitching about not seeing any deer and he was freezing.

i had to laugh because i am in ghetto sitting in heater of vehicle and he is freezing his arse off. i saw more deer than he did

Nice Salmon. The lion story would have had me changing the boxers.

Nice. Cold and early in NBR means those deer were safe.

About a year ago we had an armadillo walk through our plant at midnight. There were about ten guys standing around waiting for a crane to arrive and the dillo just walked right by us. Don't know where he came from nothing but concrete and limestone all around. Nobody said a word just watched him pass

Yeah, one of the most frightening experiences of my life. Since I was in a canyon, I was basically trapped, and I was hauling about 30 lbs of gear, so I was fricked if it decided to attack. I would make check 360 degrees around me like every 5 feet on the way out.
