Nope.

Only possible reason is because they have our old coach.

Other than that, LSU is just another game on the Alabama schedule for them.

I think we as a fanbase just like to think Alabama and LSU are rivals because of the coach. But in reality, we consider that game important a lot more than Alabama fans do, as far as rivalries go.

Of course we're both elite teams. But the only reason they really want to beat us is because we're elite, not because they hate us like Auburn and Tennessee.

This.

As our teams ebb and flow, it'll cool down. At the moment, I'd say we're temporarily rivals because we're the top two powerhouses in the SEC.

That'll change when one team takes a dip in relevancy.

Texas A&M will be our "main" rival. Just give it around 8-10 football seasons. The hatred will slowly boil.

Im already starting to hate Texas a&m after the cotton bowl. I'm sure they feelbthe same way. Here's to rekindling an old rivalry. I hope it doesn't take as long as 8-10 seasons to get there.

A rival is a consistent opponent that you hate when they beat you. Got a lot of hate after BCS.

Depends on your definition of "Rival".....

UA and AU are rivals.

UA and LSU just don't like each other....

Yes, as conference and historical rival. As far as naming the rivalry or making dumb trophies...we have Ole Miss and Tulane for that.

Definite yes. Every time we play them it's super important and always has SEC and National Implications. We switch on victories and both fan bases can't stop talking about the other.
