No, our magnolia trees are still alive.
They're just 2 great teams who play each other each year. Now 10 years down the road, who knows? Might become a rivalry.

I'd say Saban leaving for Bama makes him our rival. This was a guy who pretty much brought LSU football back to national prominence then turned his back on the program for the NFL. I'm a dolphins fan too, so I really hate Saban. Anytime he can be beat is a joyful feeling.

I guess the real question isn't whether they are rivals, because they are obviously competing against each other. The question should be do they hate each other. I'd say no. I would pull for LSU or FL or Ga if they were playing for the NC. I'd never pull for Tenn or Aub.
