From his presser
quote:

“We’ll throw the football more,” Miles said. “I think there will be a fun approach, a different view of our quarterback position now, and I think it will allow us to throw the football more effectively and to approach a game plan that can feature some receivers and some balls being thrown down the field maybe a little bit more efficiently.”

1) He just benched the most efficient QB in the SEC

2) The guy who now will be more effective and more efficient throwing the ball next year, was available to Miles on Jan. 9th

Its just so damn depressing

How can people not be skeptical?

quote:

"I think Jordan Jefferson has had the best spring he's had since he's been here," Miles said of his quarterback during the SEC's spring football teleconference on Wednesday. "He gets it out of his hand so quickly. He goes through the reads and progressions. There's much less hesitation in the decision-making process."

He should have been honest and said he still sucks. Then rantards could do cartwheels on the message board.

For the record: A head coach talking up his players is not really a bad thing.

That may have been true in the spring. Obviously, sitting out to begin the season through everything out of whack. Even though JJ looked good when he returned, it may have been fool's gold. The Tiger's would drive the length of the field with Lee, then JJ would come in and score. JJ wasn't as ready as Miles hoped, imv.

Dude, I or probably anyone else could give a shite about why you think we can be better posters. You have said this on a couple of my posts and others. Please quit. I do not care what you think of peoples posts.

Spurrier probably would.

And, you don't have to beat up the kid, but you can't believe your own bullshite either. You can pump all the sunshine you want as long as you let your actions show you're not playing a kid out of some naive allegiance to him. I mean did it really take the Alabama game for him to realize JJ isn't that good?

And what is the kicker is no one can deny that if JJ miraculously had another year, he would be the starter and we'd watch him suck in the spring game and Mile's would make the exact fricking statement.

Stop...seriously man. Every morning I wake up I see you still complaining. The quarterback you are referring to was also the 3rd string qb and I would doubt he got any prep time leading up to the game. Why would what be? Oh, probably because the two quarterbacks ahead of him were a part of the team being 13 and fricking 0.

If you still want to complain about JL not playing then have it but to act like Mett had any business playing in that game is pretty crazy.

I think the problem that most people have is that they see ststements like this and then see the opposite on the field. JJ was not the best QB on the team. He may have been the best runner among the QB's, but he wasn't even a true running QB.

What concerns me is that Miles keeps saying that JJ gave us the best chance to win. If that is true, then we are in real trouble next year, since apparently Mett gives us less chance of winning than JJ did.

I don't think that is the case. I think that the best QB sat the bench all year and the second best was benched in the Bama game. We'll know next year. If Mett is the real deal, then a golden opportunity slipped through Miles' fingers this year.

In JJ's case we all knew what he was feeding us was complete bullshite. Had seen the same comments the past few years.

I believe JJ did impress in practice. JJ's problem is his state of mind during a game. It was quite different than in practice. He was focused on technique and al the things he was being taught. When game time came around, he felt that he alone must win the game, and couldn't trust the ball to his team mates. Miles just either couldn't see it, didn't want to believe it, or thought somehow he would snap out of it. Miles decided to stick with him... bad decision? Obviously. It was, however his decision to make and he has been taking the responsibility for it.

I don't think it's crazy. It was pretty clear from the latter part of the season that Miles had no intention of putting JLee in the game. If he absolutely did not trust Lee anymore, then Mett should have moved to #2 on the depth chart and been prepared as such. Even without any snaps in practice, Mett couldn't have been any less effective than JJ was against Bama ... and I mean that literally.

This is noteworthy and belies Miles' evasive nature. It's also insulting that he thinks the fan base doesn't see the obvious.

This is what happens when you don't hold someone accountable for their actions.
