"....some balls being thrown down the field maybe a little bit more efficiently.” = A veiled reply to Bobby Hebert's question at the post-game presser. Miles needs to act like a man.

"I think Jordan Jefferson has had the best spring he's had since he's been here," Miles said of his quarterback during the SEC's spring football teleconference on Wednesday. "He gets it out of his hand so quickly. He goes through the reads and progressions. There's much less hesitation in the decision-making process."

If we were playing BS Bingo, I could have blacked out my card in this single paragraph.

Complete revisionist history. Eric Reid won the game moreso than JJ. 9 points, barely over 200 yds? JJ won that game alright.

But, you want that route then how many games did JL bail out JJ in his career? Much more than you care to admit. And JJ single-handedly lost the BCSNC game...the biggest game of the year.

1) He just benched the most efficient QB in the SEC

The proof should be in the pudding right? Please highlight us the most efficient QB's numbers against Bama. That D had/has his number!
While I believe that Miles sincerely believed that he put the right QB that gave us the highest chance to win, it wouldn't have hurt us anymore than it did for Lee getting that ONE chance (ONE set of three and outs). We would never know what the outcome would have been...but that night, history was not in Lee's favor. It would have done one thing though...stopping the multitude of threads/posts whining about him not getting that chance.

ETA:
And, don't tell me Miles did not have his best interests for himself and threw away the 2.4 million dollars that he could have earned by winning that darn game! He probably is as pissed off as the rest of us if not more!!!

Grrr....can't wait for next season! This off-season is killing me too!

He will not change unless his job is in danger because he is so blindly stubborn.

Anyone that watched the spring game knows that jefferson had not improved from the previous season. He still had a slow delivery with no moving through progressions etc. My favorite thing about the whole jefferson deal is the coaches making him out to be a running qb. He never was a running qb and watching us run the option was laughable as it was the slowest option ever run. If you actually watched the first alabama game we were only successful twice with the option and the only reason for that was because he pitched thr ball early. Miles needs to get his head out of his arse and realize we are an I-formation play action football team with a stable of running backs. We don't need a running qb. We need a qb that can play fake and stand in the pocket and deliver a strike. I'm not saying Lee was the best qb but he was better at it than jj ever was. Hopefully he'll let Mettenberger play to his skill set. Hopefully.

And I understand that, really I do. No one was more upset than I Jan 9, I promise. But, overall, we did have a very successful year, there is no doubt about that.

I have been looking at this board since that game, and in all honesty, been a part of it, at the constant moaning and groaning and bitching, but at some point we all just need to take a deep breath and acknowledge how fortunate we are here at LSU. There are approximately 118 schools that would LOVE to be in our position. And I have to tell you that I know it will continue. I do understand where you are coming from. I'm just ready to get to next season and the seasons beyond.

He's stubborn?! The man and his team were 13-0 and SEC champions. Why should he change? The stubbornness lies somewhere else.

Really? how so?

I mean, I'm sure he just wanted to call that press conference yesterday because he was bored.

I am ready to move past this game and the lies. JJ is gone. A new era will begin this year. I always thought that the coaches used this extra month of practice to get the young guys more snaps so that they would be ready for the spring. The sad truth is, Les had JJ on the brain to the point of not letting anyone else beat him out. I have been to every spring game the last few years and watched JJ get beat out on the field. His play and numbers with the first team offense were always horrid. And this is without a pass rush and a non contact jersey. Pull up his numbers and see for your self. But Les loved that boy. Thanks and Good riddance and good luck in your future endeavors.

If we win 12 to 13 games a year, SEC championships and get to at least play in the biggest game of the year, why would anyone want that to change?

Its just so damn depressing

Come on man... what I find depressing is your perspective!! Its football. Its a game. CLM is not president of the USA or a General leading troops into battle.... He is a football coach, and a dam good one!! He shite his pants on Nov. 9th, he pretty much admits that, the whole JJ/JL drama is in the past.... let it stay there! Its time to move on, we have a great QB coming and all the reason in the world to believe we will be sitting on top next season. If we are not on top, and things go terribly wrong... lets wait to be upset about it then, when it actually happens!!

Coach Miles is who he is. He will never change! He doesn't want to , doesn't have to, and has no plans to.

The problem with his approach publically is that we all want him to come clean and admit failure, but it would not be good for the program so he's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.

I like the Coach, but I secretly hope that he is "true to himself" and learns from his mistakes. Even he is not perfect.

RobbBobb, you should put together a list of all the quotes where Miles lied or was evasive or made veiled comments that were not truthful.

I bet you could compile a huge list that would shut the Les Miles lovers up once and for all. It's all documented online.
