Why would anyone vote for Lafayette over New Orleans?

I like Lafayette, BTW. But New Orleans, it's not.

Majority of these people voting can't afford to spend 250 every night to eat out at August and Emeril's and Commanders. So voting lafayette because they have many great restaurants where you don't have to fork out 250 for 2 people.

Not arguing for or against any city, but this is a very good point. Dishes need not include black truffle and foie gras to be the tastiest.

wtf? Why is Baltimore an option? Last time I checked my map, Baltimore is in the Northeast

I'm not familiar with many eateries in Lafayette, so I voted NOLA.

Of course it's N.O., but I'll vote for Lafayette, just to encourage a great little food town.

You don't have to do that in NOLA either. Boucherie is the best value of any restaurant perhaps in the country.

You're an idiot.

Tons of places in Nola to have a great meal <$20 for an entree.

Those places are a small part of what makes New Orleans great. There are lots of good places for the money in New Orleans, as well.

Louisiana is fortunate to have both, IMO.

Pretty much. NOLA's best eats are the the little places. Cenral American, Vietnamese and neighborhood joints in NOLA are just great.
