Wow that's awful.
I agree with the eye of the tiger statement earlier - that would look awesome on there instead of that garbage logo.
The only place you see that logo is on shirts at the grocery store. I mean, come on.
And, the only reason - I wish the administration would recognize this - the only reason they have sold so much stuff with the "toonces" on it is because of the unprecedented success and popularity of the program, not because people like "toonces".

Actually that is the original Toonces. The floating head was made when complaints were so bad about the original. I haven't seen full body Toonces in a while and they picked the worst time ever to bring it back.

I believe LSU spent a fortune on an outside company to design and market the toonces logo....level heads will NOT prevail here.....sad .... I, as well, will not purchase any toonces merchandise....

I think LSU's marketing department is doing one hell of a job! I mean who does't love the phrase, "Love purple...live gold; where passion becomes genius!!!."

THe problem is that our logo is also our name i.e. the letters "LSU". In the format of those pennants you have a spot for the logo and then a spot for the actual name of the university. They couldn't put LSU in the Geauxfont and then have LSU in the block font next to it. That would look really stupid. I agree though that our logo is not good for all formats. I love the 'Geaux' font, but toonces was poorly conceived.

I think we could use the old school L by itself. Like Bama and Wisconsin did. I think that would have looked good. It would have also looked better with the block style letter they used for the LSU part.
