What would it be?
I know we are not coach miles, but if you had this team what would you do with the long layover?

For me it would be a hurry up offense. It is something Bama wouldn't be prepared for, and would take full advantage of our speed. 3 wideouts ODB, randle, and Shepard. Ford at rb, Hillard at FB.

JJ does not seem to do well on the quick/or no huddle offense. That tempo is not good for his style. Look for a lot of read option and roll outs to the wide side with dig routes and run...run...run the ball.

Roll JJ out to the backside as you roll protection to the short-side.

Pro-Formation, JJ under Center, single back, 1 TE, 3 WR's.

TE & WR on the play/short side, slot & WR to the wide-side. At the snap, run PA to the short-side.

TE to play or short side runs shallow cross coming back to JJ, who gives boot action off the play fake.

WR to play-fake/short side runs deep in & up, doing his best to get across the Safeties face but shortening up the route looking for space to the sideline.

Slot receiver on the strong side pushes up the field vertical, looking for one-on-one deep.

Strong side wide receiver runs an option route. If he doesn't have it deep, he runs a deep comeback off a vertical release at the line.

Too much pressure on the Bama Secondary there, with routine single coverage deep & the shallow cross & intermediate route putting pressure on the Secondary & forcing their Linebackers to run sideline to sideline.

JJ is money on the move & on comebacks. Also, running their LB's sideline-sideline will tire them out & open the run-game.

Oh, & did I mention I wanna see some short-side option keepers?

Seam route to D. Peterson all day. The middle of the field 10-20 yards down was open a lot during the first Bama game. Hit the seam to DP, outs to RR, and maybe the will loosen up the middle for a healthy dose of Kenny Hilliard.

Correct. What I see is open area 15 yards up the field inside the numbers. Bama's front 7 stacks the run and the two safeties play over the top and do not give up the big play. TE and middle crosses are open but must be careful and not let those big LBs get depth. If we can run semi effectively then that open area is their to exploit in the passing game. That is how JJ got us out of deep in our own end late in the first game.

^this. KH27 is uncatchable! Also, there are rumors that he might not have any ceilings.

To beat bama you need to throw the ball no more than 20 times a game..

Dating back to last year... South Carolina, Auburn, LSU and LSU are the only three teams to beat them.
Both teams threw the ball 20 times or less. FACT

WR screens to Beckham/Shepard. Get them touches early and often. Make them a threat in the minds of the defense to give them more to think about.

Also the no huddle offense with 5 wide. Just completely spread out the field with JJ having the green light to either throw it or run it. Just keep the defense on its heels.

Single back is "Ace"

Pro Form is either "Near" or "Far"

These are "Pro Forms"

This is what I'd like to see but it takes a lot of time to do it right. And as an offense you almost have to sell out to the idea. But with 4+ weeks I think it would be a great package and you saw Bama struggle with it.

Blue and Ford at the wingbacks or SB's as it is in the picture. And at the FB spot you have Ware and Kenny Hillard. The great thing about flexbone is it allows Iso's for the QB to keep and run Midline or Off Tackle. Like you see navy do all the time. Georgia Tech doesn't run the Midline Iso like they use to. But a Iso with Jefferson could give over aggressive LB's fits. JMO

Nothing!!! Stick with what got you there. Power running game and play action passes. Not too much option. Then sit back and wait for Saban to out coach himself. He did it against Texas, and may have cost him the game if McCoy doesn't get hurt.

Didn't Bama have fits defending the triple option or whatever style option Georgia Southern runs?

Maryland I!! With 2 FB instead of 1.

O-Line
QB
FB - J.C. Copeland (6'1" 280)
FB - James Stampey (5'10" 239)
HB - Kenny Hilliard (5'11" 240)

That is a LOT of mass running downhill. Maybe substitute Stampey and Hilliard for FB and Hilliard with Ford for a little speed to get outside and make the Bama Linebackers run a little.

I've got to check out what the heck Georgia Southern did on offense to be so successful against the Bama D. I just checked the stats for the game and they gain 302 yards on the ground.

First play of the game...JJ and Ford go into the option - suddenly Ford cracks back down on the DE - JJ plants and throws to DP19

run PA rollout 3 level floods all day. yes the receiver running the corner routes can have the option to run a streak if he thinks he can beat the defender. JJ only has to look at one side of the field with this play. all 3 WR's within his sightline. if everyone is covered run it.
