No one is loved more than the backup QB. And as bad as he's played against us over the last 3 years, he did make a VERY important completion in the Bama/LSU 10' game that I thought sealed the game. If JJ comes out cold you Les will have a real delima. We're not going to let Honey Badger beat us like he did against UGA. JJ had what 30 yrds in Atlanta?

TigrLee won't respond to reason or facts. I guess it must be hard to do that when you have Lee's nuts in your mouth.

This guy must be the biggest fanboy in TD.com history.

I know...

But for me, those stats (and our record all season) put my questions to rest.

Yeah, it isn't really debatable which qb has given us the best chance to beat Bama. Hopefully we get the production we need out of him.

JJ is playing because he gives us the best chance to beat Bama, period. JL has zero mobility and after he took a few shots in that game he was ducking and chucking. Also, the only real success we had running was to the corners. JJ's ability to run the option is a plus. It was pretty clear after watching the Bama game that we were likely to be playing them again.CLM has been preparing for that.THAT is why JL has not gotten any snaps.

Don't worry troll, according to your gump logic (and post history) the Superdome is a road game for JJ so we know he'll beat your arse.

being "fair" to Lee is not going to come into the equation

This is, has always been, and should always be the case.

The coaching staff should play the players that they think give us the best chance of winning. And given that Jefferson has received all of the snaps recently (whether that is due to Lee's grade issues or not), that person is going to be Jefferson unless we are in a desperate spot.

The offense has been changed for Jefferson. I doubt Lee gets many snaps during practice in the offensive sets they used to run with him at QB.

We are all in with Jefferson. Let's hope he does not pull another 30 yard total passing outing or gets hurt.

Wow, I knew Bama had been a struggle for JL, but I didn't recall the extent of those struggles.

Would be sweet to see him rid himself of all those Bama demons in the biggest college game of his life.

Which is why he should pull "ANY" player who sucks as bad as JJ did in the first half of the Georgia game. If JL had gone an entire quarter with no TD's or 1st downs he would be yanked in a blink.

There must be something we're missing or this is flat wrong!

Good God. He made one VERY big throw when JJ got hurt in that game. Just one. We didnt bench the savior of the 2011 tigers. We didnt bench Peyton Manning. We benched Curtis Painter for Vince Young (NFL version). Its not that big of a deal. I will never understand how one topic can go on this long.

Very well put. Except for the fact that Curtis Painter and Vince Young are on NFL rosters and neither Jefferson or Lee will be.

Trust me, he was not allowed to play for 4 weeks because of grades.

If you're Jarret Lee, how in the hell can can you just blow off class/academics in your senior year when you are the starting quarterback of the undefeated number one team in the country going for a National Championship?

You have the world (Baton Rouge) at your feet and just decide to blow off academics with all that's on the line and at stake. One of the great all-time mysteries in the noted history of L.S.U. football. A real head scratcher.

not so fast my friend. Both LSU QB's have been vastly underated by the LSU faithfull. Jefferson has a lot of simularities to Tebow, both in stature and playing style. In fact he has more NFL upside than Tebow. Lee also displays the quick release and accuracy that is valued by NFL teams and has shown during that 8 game stretch that he also has NFL level talent.

I seriously doubt that's gonna be up to y'all.

Honey Badger doesn't give a shite. Honey Badger takes what he wants.
