Despite the LSU rantards that believe he has nothing to offer, the NFL scouts see a proven winner, a physical prototype, and an NFL caliber arm.

He is getting better at "throwing it away". He us to be referred to a Jordan "I'll take a sack with that!" Jefferson. He has improved tremendously from seasons past but I think it will be a miracle if he plays a down in the NFL. I wish him all the best!

It's no use with that guy.
He can't even have a grown up discussion on JJ being a draft pick. He has to resort to childish requests that I fetch something for him. Whatever point he's trying to make is lost on me.

We all know that JJ is NOT going to be a starter for an NFL team unless something absolutley crazy happens.
Now that beening said, he has a big arm, has a lot of snaps, and has won games.
He's played undercenter, and from the gun. Which depending on the offense and the score of an NFL game you see a big shift in the % of Gun plays.
He's an athlete. He can be a 3rd team guy that if all hell breaks loose and he's in the game can run around and give you a chance to win. Other than the one inccident he seems like a good kid who would not make the team look bad.

Just remember that I told you know-it-all MFs that JJ will make some roster next year...he just may be the toughest player on LSU right now! He will play in the NFL...just probably not as a QB...unless some team uses some form of the Wildcat...but I would definitely take him in the final rounds and find a place for him on my team...he could definitely help out on special teams and probably make a mean-arse safety or a recieving TE!

TE is his only hope in teh NFL IMO... I dont see the guy getting drafted at all to be honest.
think about it. hes only about 4 starts away from an incredibly awful season last year.

You could also turn this statement into:

A QB coach Crowton was not.

I'm not about to read what I'm sure is a 13 page bash fest, but I said a few days ago that JJ will:
1) get drafted
2) make a roster
3) eventually take a regular season snap
I will stand by this. His critics seem to only see his flaws Nd totally disregard his strengths. They also are under the delusion that every NF roster is littered with Mannings. There will be some shite QBs take meaningful snaps this very weekend. There is a place for Jordan Jefferson in the NFL.

Yes to all of this...but here's the best part...why are LSU fans seemingly rooting AGAINST the guy who will most likely start the next two games for LSU en route to what we hope is NC #4? I completely get that some don;t feel he has the tools to play in the NFL...after all, most college players don't. Absolutely fair enough.
But only some special douchebaggery would require 13+ pages to make this point when a simple, "Good luck to him, but I don't think he'll make it" would suffice, if someone felt it necessary to even post that.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go check into the 4+ page thread calling JJ an a-hole for pretending to open his shirt and reveal his Superman logo when he scores.

I really dont see him converting to another position and playing. He is a good athlete but dont think he would be when measured against other NFL tight ends/Hbacks especially ones that have been playing the position.
I think his only chance is to make a practice squad and hang around for a couple of years while they try to develop him.

If JJ ever starts a game for an NFL franchise at QB I will never post on this site again.

Brees wont be around forever. Someone is going to need to take his place...
Posted on 12/2/11 at 5:07 pm to Catman88
who knows? he certainly is a big strong kid and he has a want to play. I wish him the best. I think he would be a hard sell at QB but has physical attributes to be moved to another position. Look at how our most recent qb, Jamarcus ended up in the pros. I didn't think he would be such a flop as he turned out to be. It's always a gamble but that is what the game is all about.

These gentlemen will be starting NFL games this weekend:
Tyler Palko
John Skelton
Caleb Hanie
Who? Exactly.
