I agree. He does have a nice touch. But he won't be able to do that in the NFL.
If only JJ had that touch, he would be a great QB. But I think like JJ, JL could be a project QB. His pros aren't teachable but his cons are. While most don't see it, I could see both being on a roster next year.

Jefferson has put up no where near the rushing stats those guys did in college.
Dude, read the fricking post you quoted. We are talking about SKILLS. Not stats or results.

Right, because these are completely unrelated concepts.

I heard that Detellier made a comment that Sean Payton was fond of JJ and perhaps would take him on as a project as an UDFA. Not sure about the validity of that, but I heard it from a couple people.
Detillier also said JL was a better NFL prospect than JJ.

JJ is actually only like 150 yards behind T. Smith and has 2 fewer rushing TDs.
But he isn't/wasn't near the player Smith was at Ohio State.

I don't know man. JL gets really fluttered when the pressure comes...
He'll be under pressure constantly in the NFL.
And this is the main reason JJ beat him out this year. I actually liked JL starting and JJ coming in when needed. But it seems the pressures of the game got to JL.

When talking about the NFL game, college stats are almost irrelevant, especially for QBs.

JJ is a wide receiver's worst nightmare.

I'm not going to boo him, but I won't cheer for him either.

And like everyone else in the stadium I will yell my lungs out in support of Jarret Lee. It will be hilarious to see just how disproportionate the support is.

That kid's ego is big enough as it is. I hope no one cheers for him for the Senior Day ceremony. If and when he makes a good play during the game, I'll cheer for him. So, in other words, I probably won't be cheering for him at all.
I may be reading between the lines on the racist comment, but the hate for JJ sure seems to stem from something other than his play on the field.

Yet he's started more games and had a shite ton more attempts.

You said his rushing stats don't approach Troy Smith, which is not true.
Regardless, he's going to have something T. Smith doesn't: a ring as a starter.
It's obvious you are just trying to deride JJ though, so no sense in discussing things with you.

the NFL scouts see a proven winner
This is the most overrated and useless fact/stat about any player coming out of college.
You know who else was a proven winner?
Todd Marinovich
Cade McNown
Tim Couch
Heath Shuler
Akili Smith
Ryan Leaf
JaMarcus Russell
Many more to list, but I'll stop. Winning in college doesn't = winning in the NFL. What it comes down to is, can JJ win with a mediocre or bad defense...right now I don't think he can.
Wish him the best and he has definitely improved each year he has been here, but when people say a player is a "Proven Winner".....it just irks me..that stat means nothing.

Is there video of him throwing deep outs?
not sure, don't have a lotta time to look right now. here's some 2011 Randle higlights that are mostly Lee throws:

good stuff in there (and a little bad). he showed off his arm some as a freshman, that Auburn 08 game comes to mind. I think South Carolina too.
I think Lee's over-reliance on his arm strength is a lot of what got him into trouble back in 08.

JJ's main problem is between his ears. He simply can't process things quickly enough - he's JR without the arm.

This is true and its why I wanted JJ to start this year. But this is something that could be coachable. If he has a good enough QB coach, he could change that. Look at what Jim Harbaugh has done for Alex Smith this year. Under the right coaches and in the right situation, I could see both Lee and Jefferson making a roster. Though Jefferson has a much better shot.

How do you know this? Speaking of not processing things quickly enough, how would you explain JLee's complete panic and tossing the ball up in the middle of the field when he is pressured?

I'll check it out, thanks.

How do I know this? Have you seen JJ play? And what does JL have anything to do with JJ's mental acuity?
