The quality of the UGA O-line?

How are these guys? I've seen some comments that they are weak.
I can't imagine they are THAT weak if they were able to win the SEC East
If they are in fact weak then I see this being an LSU blow out. Our D-line is known to take over in big games (see Alabama and Oregon)

UGA supposedly runs the ball well and stops the run well. However, Arky supposedly was the best aerial attack we'd seen all year and you see how that worked out for them.
Im not worried about UGA.

Hard to say based on competition
But closest in terms of athletic ability to LSU's DL is prolly Florida.
UGA beat UF 24-20, gave up 3 sacks, Murray passed for about 170 2 TD 1 int, they ran for about 180 (Murray ran several times mostly scrambles)

Every team that we have played this year (according to Talking Heads)was going to be a handful for us. So, I guess we will see tomorrow.

I won't be surprised if the game is close. It's in Georgia and they have something to play for.
Wouldn't surprise me if we blew them out either though

They are the biggest OL in the country and bigger than all NFL OL's. That said, they are not that athletic and have been suspect in quite a few games this year.

I'v heard and read the same thing. The front 5 averages 329...that big. However their athletic ability (in relative terms) is a little questionable.

Interesting, didn't know that. Should be an interesting match up.

Wow, thats a huge statement(no pun intended)! If they are really that large, they surely must not be athletic... or yall would be unstoppable! They must not be able to walk and chew gum at the same time... we will see in less than 30hrs!

The OL is the biggest disappointment with this Georgia team. They are the biggest (weight wise) of all OLs, including the NFL lines, but they do not drive people off the ball. We also have a tackle (converted guard) that cannot handle your pass rush, we will need to have backs step up or Murray will not have time to set. Our receivers will be able to get open, but will AM have time? Very crucial area of this game. I think we need to have success passing to open up the run game, if we do this will be a very close game.

Powerman,
During the Arky game, there was a stat they showed on the number of knockdowns received by SEC QB's this year.
Wilson from Arky was #1 with 69 (at that time, LSU added a lot to it, of course)
Murray was second in the high 50's. Don't remember the number....

Don't know what that emoticom means, but if you have watched any of our film/games you will see we have several quality receivers. No AJ Green types, but several that make plays so the ball gets spread around to many. It is more of a challenge this season than with AJ as a go to guy. They are young, have good hands, and go up for the ball well. Charles is a hybrid TE who presents matchup problems for LBs. If Am gets time, we move the ball through the air. This is meant as no disrespect for your secondary, it looks to be two very good units going against each other.

I'm not saying it cannot be done but the only semblance of a passing game that I see GA being successful at is in the short yardage and underneath passing game and relying on your receivers to get YAC. Trow intermediate and long passes on LSU DBs at your own peril.

In that case, UGA would be in trouble. We are not a West Coast offense type of passing attack, we throw the ball vertically. Most throws will be intermediate with several attempts to throw long. With time Murray is pretty accurate and does a nice job of throwing the back shoulder type of comeback along the sideline. Mitchell and Charles are the primary targets but Bennett, Conley, King, and Brown are solid too. Plus our 275 pound FB was a former TE who has good hands.
