Neville has been on him since he was a sophomore. He's not ALL Bama though from what I've heard from a former Neville coach.

Diarse is likely to be the top player in the state next year in a pretty solid year in LA so I would say his talent isn't a dime a dozen. A lot of kids have similar skillsets but some kids have an extra something that can't be taught and Diarse has that. I wouldn't go so far as to compare him to Rueben just yet but Diarse is not a guy that anyone should just be meh about. He's a stud. He isn't all Bama either as some others have said. That is an old rumor that has been flying around since last year. He is a Bama/LSU battle right now but there is a full year to go so the only thing that matters is that our coaches are on him pretty hard.

Almost but this is my point...how do some think Dural is faster? Makes you wonder if they know which one they are watching..

I could see how Dural may appear faster on a football field. If the game comes more naturally to him, he can go full speed more, and if he's more instictual than Holmes he will look faster on the field. Football speed.

Holmes may be faster on the track but that doesn't always translate to speed on the football field. Holmes may indeed be faster but Dural had more of an opportunity to showcase his talent last night and he took advantage of it. He is lightning fast and it's effortless.

I understand both of your points and it would make sense if there were a consensus of people picking one as the fastest they've seen in high school. Just strange to see both

Good post, and I agree with you. Sometimes you have to look past the track speed, and Diarse seems to have the other intangibles that should make him a sought after recruit. I DO think he is in the 6 ft. 200 lb, 4.5 range despite other reports. I think he has very good ball skills, and just seems to be a good football player. He seems to be the key guy on Neville's team and makes them tick.

I think Diarse is upwards of 6'0. I stood next to him last night and I think hes probably more like 6'2. The guy is big too. Tree trunks for thighs.

Diarse will end up at LSU. He has gone to a few LSU games this year and has had a blast. This all Bama crap is totally false.

Monroe LSU fans,

Quit bothering John's mother.

Go mow her yard or wash her car but don't bother her asking where he is going to school.

the "he hates LSU, he's a _______ lock" shite happens 15 times a year on here from some guy who wants to think that the high school football program he follows is just too big for the state to hold. Even people from Montrell Connor's school were on here saying he was all Bama and hated lsu. Then Les Miles breathed on him at a camp and he committed to Mike Scarborough.

I've heard that we're getting a huge steal with him. I hope he stays a firm commitment.

Alexander did have a good game. He was very active.

Neville's OL looked good and their defense looked great in the fourth quarter.

Their coach and Diarse gave their fans, who showed up in mass, credit for helping them get the win. Monroe News Star

quote:

More than 1,500 supporters made the trip south, and junior quarterback John Diarse said they were often louder than those from No. 4 Breaux Bridge (12-2).

I look forwar4d to hearing Diarse say something similar to this about LSU fans one day:

quote:

"Neville nation follows us wherever we go," Diarse said. "I love Neville 'til I die. They follow us everywhere we go and support us in everything we do. I'm takin' Neville nation over anybody. I love my fans. They're there for us when we need 'em."

Doesn't sound like a guy that would want to play over 300 miles away!

word around Neville he is all Bama. Little Nicky calls him after every game

Why hasnt Nicky offered him then? Nick should offer Neville's FG kicker b/c he is better than what they have right now.
