I was watching the Michigan Ohio State game and it really liked the field at Michigan, it looks like some kind of grass turf mixture it looked to be holding up. No slipping.

Lack of sunlight has nothing to do with it. It is a new variety of Bermuda that I suspect doesn't have enough tensile strength to stand up to major college football games or is simply a fertility problem . Artificial turf has a whole batch of its own problems, especially with the climate we have in BR.

Are trying to tell me that you were at the game and did not see our defensive back falling down while making cuts to cover? Plus if you were on the field there is a big difference between walking and trying to cover widerecievers at full speed. You are an idiot if you don't think it's and issue and this is not the first time this season that this issue has come up.

I hear you, I just feel that we lose some of our speed with such a soft turf.

It is Celebration Bermuda and is the premier sport turf for southern climates. It's it's very tightly knit. However, it is late November and time for it to start going dormant until early to mid April.

Isn't the whole point of artificial turf to be able to have a playing surface without having to worry about the climate? There isn't much of a climate in the Superdome.

Clearly you have never walked on turf in the summer. It gets way too hot. Like blister your feet through your shoes hot. You have to install elaborate cooling systems, and even then it is significantly hotter. A day game in August would be the definition of hell.

On the Ford fumble, he slipped and loosened up a big chunk of sod as he was hit.

I see this if it was raining, or if it is a seasonal issue like it was posted.

But, the condition when we played Auburn was similar, but seemingly worse. What's the deal?

The hayseeds at The Bayou Disco Country Fest need to move it on over to the Bernie Moore Track and Field for their annual show. It's obviously fricking the field up.
