If this is indeed his last holiday season, I think that it is fitting that he will watch his beloved Tigers win one more national championship.

im still having trouble deciphering 'tl;dr'
if it's an egregious thing....sorry to bring it back up in such a sad post.
Don Long ALWAYS responded back to every email I sent him.
He is Tiger Football and would love for LSU to honor him in some way.

Couldn't imaging actually writting down, "I probably won't be around this time next year"...very sobering, makes you think and put things in perspective...
Prayers out to the Dandy One and here's to LSU bring the ship home for him!!!

wow
Very touching. those are times that are gone forever. I always try to listen to older folk who have lived in the harder times. When they are gone, this wisdom and experience is gone forever, if we don't try to preserve it by listening and sharing with younger folks. Whether or not one likes reading Don's site, I don't think anyone can avoid respecting him for what he has done with the opportunity he has had to speak to so many. There can never be too many good folks like DD.
I pray for peace, and courage for Dandy Don.

The original LSU site. Dandydon.com was around before Geaux.com (if some of you remember that site). I'm sad to hear about his health. Just a true Tiger fan through and through.
Prayers sent.
