Yeah, but I was talking about if Ok State lost too.

LSU would get the Sugar Bowl as a consolation prize.
Not if UGA won SEC Championship

LSU is 2 TD's better and deeper than UGA.... UGA avoided Bama, LSU and Arkansas this year... 3 of best best teams in the entire country.... they are improved no doubt about that, but LSU will handle them...
I have no doubt that we will beat UGA. I still like to analyze all possible scenarios

I was just listening on Bill King, and they said it is possible (however highly unlikely) that if LSU lost to UGA and bama and LSU were still 1,2 then UGA goes to sugar and LSU vs Bama in the BSNC. This is the only way for 3 teams in one conference to go to BCS games

LSU would still go to BCSNCG imo

I agree. Oklahoma lost their conference championship game the year LSU beat them for the BCS Championship.

I was listening too. It's the first time I've heard somebody mention it outside of this board. Bill is King...

Nothing before 2004 is precedent because the BCS formula changed after the '03 season. The voters ranked OU 3rd, but the other parts of the formula were still so strong in their favor that they remained #1.

LSU can lose one game - ANY GAME - and probably play in the BCSNC

WRT BCS outcomes, you are correct, but that's not true for the components. What the voters did is evidence of what may happen in similar situations.

This 2011 LSU football team is now but Four game away from 14-0 and Baton Rouge Louisiana Immortality. The very best LSU football team that ever was.
A very rare and enjoyable privilege for all the LSU fans everywhere.

But what happens if LSU and Bama finish 1 & 2 with LSU losing to UGA? All 3 would make BCS?

LSU won't lose to UGA. It's as simple as that.

LSU has to lose to 2 to miss the BCSCG. Our strength of schedule is leaps and bounds harder than anyone in the top 5. That lends to a lot of points in the BCS rankings.

In this scenario, all 3 would make it to BCS bowls. However, I don't think Bama has any chance of making it. They would need to get to the SEC CG, and I don't see them getting there even if we lose to Arky. Even if Arky and Bama jumps us in the human polls after a loss, the vote between us and Arky will probably be pretty close and the computers will put us back on top of them and the SEC tie-breaker will go to us.

pretty sure the #8 SEC tiebreaker works like this...

- top bcs ranked team unless another team is within 5 spots, then those two teams use the head to head.

in other words if we lose to arkansas and they jump bama in the bcs, it is LSU or Ark and Ark have the tie breaker over LSU.

if i am wrong... someone please feel free to let me know

eta: just re-read your post. if you are referring to LSU and bama still being ranking higher in the bcs, then you are correct. LSU has that tiebreaker
