I dont like him because he comes off to me phony as hell
He gives me the feeling that he does everything he does because he knows the cameras are looking
He is an attention whore to me

Just remember, they didn't really have Mcgahee tonight. They had Tebow and the defense.
Mcgahee had a fumble that resulted in a field goal for the Jets. Dennis Allen has really done a good job in his first year as DC. As for Tebow, that was a clutch drive to win the game. I'll give him credit for coming thru at the end despite an awful game before that last drive.

GTFO!!! My "world view?" About sports?
GTFO. I listen to ESPN, NFL radio, Maddog radio, etc for 3 hours per day during my commute. I really have no dog in this fight. When Tebow was in college the love-fest was sickening. Once he got to the NFL by way of a far too high draft pick, the love went away. I don't listen to Skip Bayless but, one in the crowd, even 20 in the crowd of a hundred doesn't make up for the undue criticism I've heard.

You couldn't be more wrong about Tebow. He is as genuine as it gets and people are so fricked up these days that they would love it If something bad about him came out.

Hes gotten much better about this in my opinion. You dont have him crying on the sidelines or making "the speech" about how great hes going to play from then on.

Ridiculous? Yep. Just like you.

That would make sense except he's been doing that shite since he was a kid. He doesn't do it because people are looking. He does it because he grew up doing that.
If he wasn't a star, he'd be doing the same damn thing.

Hes a white, Christian male. That's the new hate group. All they are doing is making the story larger than life.

You simply see what you want to see. He is one of the few that comes off as genuine. You would probably hate Tebow if he found a cure for cancer.
He is fun to watch. Despite his limitations, finds a way to succeed. Few people out there with his kind of determination.

Yes, that is true. Well, I have met Jimmy Carter twice before. Does that count (even though he was a shitty President)?
Look, I like Tim Tebow. However, I am able to separate my emotions from my analysis. Tebow is simply a terrible NFL QB. That is all there is to it. Pretty simple. I hope the guy does well, but the team's accomplishments does not mean the individual is doing well.

Yeah but thats just because a cancer patient killed my parents

I'm liking him more now because he's winning without the 380 yds passing 4 tds bullshite we're seeing nearly weekly in the NFL.
I don't think, though, that it'll last beyond this season.

I don't think a lot of people really hate Tebow. I do think a lot of people want to see him fail because they've been waiting for him to fail for the longest time so they could say "I told you so."
These same people said Urban's offense wouldn't work in the SEC. Same people that said Tebow would get hurt constantly running the ball. Same people that said no one would draft him in the 1st round. Same people that said he would never start a game in the NFL.

The guy is just a competitor and finds a way to win! How can u not pull for this kid. Gives everything he has and more. I know he's not the best passer at all. He puts up terrible numbers. But plain and simple the guy finds a way. Ain't that what its all about. Wins and loses. He's 4-1 this year.

I thought the NFL Network was pretty rough on Timmy during the postgame on set interview. I'm sure I messed some things up, but here is some of the questions of them trying to get him to crack (Imo).
Irvin to Tebow: " Only completed 8 passes, that's not many. .what do say in your huddle to the receivers because when I'd go into the huddle after Aikman missed me on a pass i'd upset about it or upset about not getting the ball."
Tim basically said, well we have team first guys and only care about winning. I thought it was pretty great response.
You had Marshall Faulk mean mugging him 90% of the interview, the only 10% of the time he wasn't was because he was laughing about an awkward question Tim was going to have to respond to.
Sanders: "Nationally nobody has ever been as hated as you by people, what do you think is the reason: Your throwing motion, your face, or what is it that provokes anger, hate, or disdain from people and the media"
Mariucci: What did you say before the 4th quarter drive did you get in the huddle and just go "it's Tebow time" kind of seems a bit mocking to me, but I could be just reading too much into that. Also could be baiting for an answer where he accepts too much credit.
Faulk: We all love making good plays and playing the hero, but there are times out there when you don't make it look pretty. There are times when you miss wide open receivers. What goes through your mind when you miss a wide open reciever.. How can you remain positive?"
Irvin again: So what do you say to the receivers(when he avoided to answer the first time.
Eisen: You won without a touchdown pass today, can your team keep winning with that being the case?
Irvin: You are the professor Tebow giving all of us a lesson. We all care too much about skill instead of will (Faulk laughing), and you're willing off will. Can you continue to will your team into the playoffs?
Sanders: You're getting it done, but you are a QB at the end of the day. Surely you watched players like Manning, Brady, and Rodgers throwing it all over the field. As a quarterback growing up isn't that something you want to do? (Paraphrased, they cut this out of the shortened version of the interview)

Fair point but most of the attention now that's being "forced down fans throats" from ESPN is negative attention. The only talking head not grinding an axe against Tebow is Bayliss

Then you should quit watching (pro)sports. Pro sports are built on it. After advertisers saw the windfall that Jordan produced, all ESPN/NFL/NBA/NBC/FOX/etc wants are hero's to be worshiped. Not to mention the fact that he actually is a good role model. Some moron kids in BR want to "free Boosie" but bash Tebow

I don't hate Tebow. I hate the narrative that's built up around him, just as I hate the narrative that was built up around Mark Sanchez over the last two years, and the narrative built up around Vince Young before him.
Those three are simply not good quarterbacks, yet people are running around praising them as if they are.

i don't hate tebow, i just think he's a shitty QB that is being billed as a great QB
Again, where the hell is the network that is saying this? Back during the NFL draft Tebow definitely got WAY overhyped as being great before he had ever even played an NFL game, but that certainly isn't happening now.
If this was a thread from last season I could understand saying he gets billed as a great QB, but outside of Bayliss I don't hear too many ESPN talking heads singing Tebow's praises
