If I'm Les Miles, I start Jefferson versus WKU.

Hear me out...
Jefferson came in vs Bama and provided the spark needed to defeat them. He's a senior, as is Lee, I know, but with what Jefferson has been through this year, suspension, witch hunt, being booed by our fans and hated by our fans, it gives him a chance to receive the ovation he deserves for being a TIGER, and the ovation he earned for the spark he provided last week. And before you start, our fans have shown nothing but love for Lee this season. We, as a fan base, have forgiven him for 08 and have embraced him and his qb play all season.
From a coaching stand point, it works out great as well. WKU is basically a scrimmage game. This is the perfect chance to get Jefferson some live game snaps in our base offense and it provides the chance to see what he can do throwing the football with rhythm and not cold off the bench and only on 3rd down situations. Luckily for us, we have two opponents left that we should beat handily before our big test against Arkansas, so this week is a perfect week to let Jefferson build off a little momentum and see how well he can spin it against someone other than ourselves.

Our fanbase is too stupid and racist to cheer for JJ if he was announced as the starter.

I don't think you do that, because you basically dismiss what Lee has done this year, pressed into action under the gun after the suspension.

No. You need to get Lee back in the saddle so he can make some throws and flush this bad game away.
You start JJ and Lee might not make it back.

Nope.
how many times did Lee provide the spark in a game and JJ still started the next week? Gotta start Lee so that he can build his confidence back and continue to lead this team as he has done all season.

Did not read. And your not les.

No way.
QB position should not change just because Lee didn't do a good job vs. one of the best defenses in the country.
You play with what you got where you are....don't change a thing.

So glad you are not Miles.........
So you want to start a QB to see what he can do throwing the football with rhythm and not cold off the bench and only on 3rd down situations.......
good thing you are not coaching.

quote:its a scrimmage game. I didn't say start him for the rest of this season. I said start him for this game, let him sling the rock around a little, and see what he can do within the entire offense and not just within his package. WKU is a perfect game to do so. It's called having both QB's ready.

He can't consistently complete passes, so it doesn't matter if he starts or comes off the bench.
Lee got us to 8-0 and had one bad game. He should start with Jefferson coming in for a couple of series here and there.
If Miles pulls the rug out from under Lee after one bad game, I will lose a lot of respect for him.

Wow this is as dumb as the original question.

Give it up man, these fans hate JJ no matter what he accomplishes.

No, you gotta go with Lee was the starter for the remainder of the season and let JJ play his zone read/option piece of the offense. We NEED both QBs to finish this season off strong.
