2 parts cracked pepper
2 parts kosher salt
2 parts chili powder
2 parts brown sugar
1 part granulated garlic
1 part cumin
1 part cayenne

i like garlic powder and onion powder as well

get smoked paprika if you can, imho

Yeah, I forgot the garlic - I never really use onion powder, but that would be good as well - I never seem to pick up any flavor from it

Red stick spice company makes a great coffee rub that really works well with pork.

That's almost identical to the one I make except I don't use chili powder and I use a little less salt because I always brine my pork and a little less paprika as it can get overwhelming. I use La Chinata smoked paprika. Really good stuff.

sounds like Paul Prudhommes recipe, he used to post it on his website, good stuff

This is the correct answer. Rub is:

One part Bad Byron's
One part turbinado sugar
Dash of cayenne, cumin, and chili powder

Yeah, I had a really cool weber book a while back - not sure where it is anymore, but this is as best I remember the recipe from the book. It's more of a traditional Texas pork rub - I don't really like it on much other than pork, but I'll also never use anything else on pork. Great flavor.
