I'm still leaning toward not real.

I was saying not real before tonight. That was a curveball.

He is real. He was drinking coffee, and other things today.
I wouldn't be shocked if Quinn's girl knows something.

Right, but he's walking around and no one notices his face on the daily paper?
Then the curveball at the end which made it a big ? again.

That's what threw me off. And then obviously after how he made Travis accelerate the car.

He looks different in his pic in the paper, plus who would notice him at the bar they were at with people partying hard.

Until I see him order coffee I'm going with him not being real.

Completely agree. Come on guys, it's a Showtime series. It's not like we're dealing with interpreting the writing of Chris Nolan.

I didn't think he was real until Hanks called him on the phone. That's what made me question it.

whats the deal with you guys and Geller being real or not? what twist at the end are you talking about with him?
First of all there is no way the dude is not real. He obviously exists or existed as a person, having been a professor at the school, written the books, slept with his TA and is now a target of their investigation.
Now are you saying that maybe he died and is now somehow communicating through Travis, acting as a dark angel or some sort of ghost? I could see that possibly coming to fruition.

Yes.
Guys, seriously.. Gellar's not real. Or to make it more clear for others. Gellar's not alive anymore. He existed at one point and is no longer among the living. Don't try to read too much into that. They're gonna throw a twist here and there for the rubes but until Gellar has an interaction with anyone other than Travis, he is absolutely not real.
Other subplot's that are still more up in the air for me:
-I was thinking there was something darker about Sam(Mos Def) that we weren't seeing yet, but I'm starting to think that he probably is just a sort of spiritual guide for Dexter.
-Where the hell are they going with the intern selling the Ice Truck Killer evidence storyline? It's obviously not just going to end like that but I'm not sure what the point is.
-Will Deb and the babysitter settle their differences via cunilingus? It's the only way I see them coming together(pun intended) for Harrisons sake.

I'm leaning in that direction . . . not 100% yet, however.

SPOILER:
Getting shot sort of changes things. I was suspicious but I think he's just a spiritual guide, as you say.

Don't think it will be that big of a deal except for Matsuka.

Fingers crossed.

Why is the new large black detective already suspicious of Dexter? Is the writer trying to make a point by always making the large black detectives smarter than the rest?
Masuka's new intern is a cardigan-wearing hacker. He's going to frick him in some way or another.
It was nice having a la Guerta free episode. i hate her character simply because she's the most realistic woman in power i've seen on TV. Manipulate/blow your way to the top.
The argument between Deb and babysitter was odd. I guess they just showed it so we could see why Deb wanted her own place.
Mos Def is probably the best actor on the show next to Michael Hall. he continues to impress me.

I think he was just impressed with him. That could change though. I'm looking for the detective and Deb to get busy.

This is the only reason I care about either of them right now.
