Went today to get my favorite item, the andouille-crusted oyster poboy, and was informed that it has been taken off the menu... WTF!?

You must have been the only one who liked it.

I tried it too. It was ehh. Don't really pick up the adouille or blue cheese slaw flavor. Concept was good though. Next time try this: shrimp poboy, add bacon and avacado and Swiss with a side of gravy to dip fries.

done that, sans the avocado.

I don't care what anybody else says, that poboy at Chimes was fantastic the 2 times I had it... an explosion of flavors. Doubt I'll go back anytime soon now that it's gone.

Too many biased people going off of what everyone else tells them.

I've eaten there maybe 2 or 3 times and wasn't very impressed. I did eat the oyster/bacon slaw poboy, it was ok, not bad.

We did have a good going away party for one of our close friends there a while back though, good memories.

I agree that it's horribly overrated. Worst part of the entire thing was, it was a Saturday afternoon in the middle of football season, and instead of the TV near me having a game on, they were showing old reruns of Two and a Half Men.

You do realize Chimes is NOT a sports bar right. Its a restaurant with a bar. No more no less. You want to see every sport being played on TV that day go to Walk - On's.

Seriously, you must be either gay or a female. I don't care if it's a Sports Bar or not, it's unacceptable. People are there to drink beer and watch sports on a Saturday. I didn't say anything, but there were plenty of others who complained, and as I was getting my check they finally switched to the Fla-Ga game.

While I suppose I agree it's not technically "sports bar" (although, it's probably as close to it as you can be without actually being one) it's certainly enough of a college sports oriented place that it would be safe to assume if they have TVs on in the place on a Saturday in the fall, they will be showing college football and not some old lame arse syndicated sitcom.
