Big Bad Wolves bbq stall by the Houndstooth. Buffalo Phil's will be stupid crowded. Horney's (on red drew avenue right off the strip near the Houndstooth) has good burgers.

I've been to the LSU-Bama game in BDS every year since 1999, and 09 was definitely the worse. I had a jackass dressed up as Bear Bryant get in my face after the game.

As I stated earlier, Bama fans were in as ornery a mood as I've ever seen them during the 2009 game. It was actually kind of weird considering we won and that things were much calmer in previous close home losses against LSU.

I will say that I do think that LSU fans are unique/different in that you guys act just as rowdy with the Tiger Baiting and wearing LSU colors on the road as opposed to a home game. I've noticed that Alabama fans are actually the opposite and for the most part go out of their way to be low key and blend in for road games. About the flashiest Alabama fans get on the road is an Alabama shaker and maybe a Bama sweat shirt/pullover. I actually admire that LSU fans have a I don't give a frick attitude on the road. Having said that, having that aggressive attitude in opposing stadiums and talking trash in an opposing stadium is just begging for trouble.

Bama fans are not that bad actually. Georgia is the worst Buy far. I will not go to Athens anymore with my old lady.

And that aggressive attitude starts the moment they get to ttown. They all get decked out in purple and gold from head to toe and head to the strip. All of em gang up at one bar and start chanting LSU shite like they own the place. And I've never seen any of the other SEC fanbases do this. They usually have some school colors on, but they act like normal ppl. But that shite gets old real quick and that's when it starts getting confrontational.

The LSU fan base is so bad that the LSU student newspaper ran a story on how hostile LSU tailgaters were to opposing fans. To prove it, female staffers from the university’s student newspaper roamed the school’s notorious daylong drinkathon disguised in Alabama gear. “We were groped and squeezed by just about every guy we interviewed,” they reported. “The women called us ‘bitches’ and the men called us ‘counts.’” Anything else? “The amount of times we were spit on also struck a nerve.”

bullshite. I also did the very same experiment in 1998, wearing a Bama shirt and pretending to be a Bama fan the whole day. I even got one of those lame pom poms y'all use. Not one hostile word was spoken to me the entire day before or after the game, even though it was a bullshite fluke win for Alabama. If those two girls from the Reveille found trouble, I'll bet anything they went looking for it. More likely, they were just lying about it because it garnered attention for them.

So you're telling me that if LSU fans go to Gumpland and wear Purple and Gold and cheer LSU, then they are being being confrontational?
Buddy...You are exactly the type of fan that is the problem with Alabama. You think other fans don't have the right to have pride. Going to another stadium in large #'s and cheering is part of what makes for a great trip. Meeting fans with attitudes like yours is what makes a trip sour.

Geaux Tigers and beat the hell out of the rammer jammers. Be loud and be proud. Travel in large #'s and wear P&G. Chant LSU as loud as you can and ignore the Gumps like crimsonsaint when they get in your face.

We'll SORRY for partying and wanting to have a good time and taking over your bars and eateries and more than supporting your local economy 3 and 4 times over.

There is a reason Omaha absolutely loves when LSU makes the world series and LSU fans are known all over the country for being the most hardcore road team. We consistantly get the "we've never seen anything like it" (in a positive tone of course) from OOC cities we visit and almost always get positive reviews in school papers and bloggers after visits.

The fact that we love to wear our team colors and actually chant (gasp) our traditional "geaux tigers" and "tiger bait" and that pisses you off is hilarious and rather hypocritical considering how your fans yell "RAWLLLL TIDE" in my face every time I go to T-TOWN. Heck, I even got the guy pumping gass accross from me yelling it on the way to Tenneessee a few weeks ago driving through T-town. Which was fine of course, I respect the tradition so I yelled Tigers and was on my way.

The fact that you can't handle that is your problem and the attitude is actually what the OP is talking about.
