I am going to be in New Orleans for the National Championship game and was wondering where was a good place to buy boudin. I want to get some that is frozen that I can pack in a cooler to bring home. Last time I was in Orange Beach I bought some from Cajun Specialty Meats and it was terrific.

I have been to the National Championship game for the last 6 years. Figure I might as well go watch the state of Alabama win another.

I hope you don't mind driving to Scott, LA and going to Best Stop.

Maybe a couple of hours out of the way, but it's the best place for boudin.

Cochon Butcher is the best in NOLA. That is what you asked.

Cochon's boudin is the best I've had.

Really? I wasn't too impressed by their boudin.

Does Best Stop ship? Because if so this is the way to go for any out of stater.

In NOLA about the only decent link you will get will be at Couchon. (and no Im not a fan and its way overpriced)

Boudin is a SW Louisiana staple. You are not going to find many decent links east of BR. And BR only has a couple of decent places due to being family or expansions from the Lafayette area.

It's not the best I've had. A little too meaty and light on the rice, for me.

If your route takes you through Port Allen, I like Bergeron's smoked boudin a lot better.

Not This.

If I understand correctly, the OP is asking for boudin in New Orleans.
