Peyton Manning and LSU

Seeing Peyton giving praise to Les and LSU saturday, made me wonder why neither Eli nor Peyton landed at LSU.....
Is there a reason why they weren't recruited or didn't want to come to LSU? I have never heard a reason that seemed reasonable...

Says it all. Hell, Archie told the Chargers - that's a fricking NFL team - that Eli wasn't going to play for them. Only other person I know that worked for was John Elway.

I know around the time Payton was coming into league, Archie always said he never wanted his sons to play for the Saints, and that's the team he played for. Now with the college choices, would you ever want your son to play for one your college's rivals?

I don't think it would have mattered who was coaching LSU or how good the team was. Archie hates LSU. He's never gotten over the absolute thumping LSU gave him in his senior year when he played the game with his arm in a cast.

Peyton went to the school that offered him the best opportunity at the time for his football career, Eli went to the school where his father played. It's pretty simple....

ok one more time ....josh booty was the highest rated quarterback coming out of high school that year. manning had offers from everyone and lsu and tenesee were his two finalists .booty committed to lsu therefore manning went to tenesee. booty fricked lsu that year and went on to play baseball
