The media has all but declared LSU & Bama to be the 2 best teams in the nation by far. CFN has even said we are as good as those "mid-90s Nebraska teams." Not having a Big 12 championship helps as well. Also Stanford and Wisconsin play a very weak schedule.

If Wisconsin, Stanford, & OU lose 1 game, LSU will play Bama for the BCS national championship. This is of course assuming a close game on November 5th.

Let's assume LSU loses. If there are no upsets, Oregon will finish 11-1. West Virginia will go 11-1, Arkansas will finish 10-2. If there's a year when we can make the championship without winning the conference, this is it.

I will assume no such thing. How about we assume Bama loses, then your scenario plays out and Bama makes it into the MNC game to play us.

If Bama loses at home then there's little reason to rematch. If LSU loses at Bama by 3 or less or on a bad call/fluke in OT or similar then you'll hear the arguments for rematch begin.

I say screw that; beat Bama in their house and bring on Wiscy or the Sooners :)

I hope, and really believe, this team is more focused than ever. In these scenarios the biggest assumption is that we do not lose to
Tennessee, Auburn, Ole Miss, or Arkansas, which in the past has proven to be a very real possibility...and while the talk of Alabama is fun and exciting, we need to take this...one-at-a-time, one-at-a-time,

No, I mean this guy makes sense.
And while we are at it, lets snub the east and play LSU Bama in the SEC ship to make it a best of 3.

Delusional.
Will not happen under current format--no matter what.

No it is not. The championship will be two conference champions.

I agree with this.

However, if the rematch does in fact happen, I will be disappoitned. I'd rather see the undefeated SEC champion play one of these other teams and once again prove why this conference is the best and deserving of a virtual automatic bid, whether that be LSU or Bama.

Both teams will have an opporutnity to earn the right to play in the MNC. I don't want either of them "backing into" the championship if the Nov 5th result happens to be flipped.

I'm not aware of any rule against it, but I don't think the voters will let a rematch happen.

Wisconsin will cruise through the big 10 without a problem.

stanford might be the one that will get a loss to oregon.

oklahoma/okie st will be undefeated at the season's end.

clemson will have the toughest time to remain unbeaten but it is possible.

boise st. will definitely win out

The only way this happens, is if the loser on the 5th remains in 2nd in all polls, which wont happen. Teams who are undefeated, and teams who lost earlier in the year will be ranked higher, yes, even possibly Oregon.

It sucks getting penalized for losing later in the season, but thats our wonderful system.

This is an exceedingly stupid statement.

Thats 4-6 undefeated teams. wow. BCS nightmare if it happens.

So, its a race for: "Who's gonna get their asses handed to them by LSU/Bama?"

I agree with this completely. There has been too much media love for too long for anything else to happen.

That said, I just don't see Wisconsin losing a game.
