You can't really lump all of the fans together. The majority of the fans certainly have no problem with the black qb but if you think ALL feel that way than you are very naive.

That is what I'm thinking. Is it okay in a racist's mind for everyone on the team to be black except the QB. That just doesn't make any since. I totally disagree with anyone that booed. I think as a fan you cheer for your team and JJ is part of that team. With that being said, I think alot of the boos were probably directed towards wanting the offense to stay as it was and for Lee to be in as QB.

Just don't listen to it. The team is unified. As fans we need to decide if the whole team is going to be supported or just certain members.

Really? They hate him because he's black? Not because his poor production, not because he finished in the 100s as a passer last season, it's because he's black. If JJ were a good player people would be pumped he's back. Most seem upset because they feel his presence will disrupt team chemistry and the flow of the offense.

I completely agree. MOST probably do feel this way. That's why I said there is "some" truth to this because I do believe there are some people out there who have a problem with a black qb and will always have a problem with a black qb.

This is the most ridiculous, uninformed argument that's floated out there. Miles doesn't get to redshirt anyone. Miles puts in an application for a redshirt with the NCAA and they decide. Almost every application is granted under typical circumstances.
However, do you think the NCAA is going to grant a redshirt so a player can get another year of eligibility after being charged with a felony and being suspended for half the season? That's not what the redshirt was designed for. JJ was NEVER going to get another year.

how can you then justify that a couple of years ago, people were booing Lee for JJ to play...

this ain't a medical hardship. you have 5 to play 4. you don't have to apply in those situations
if JJ didn't play, he'd have 1 more year next year
BSU did it with kellen moore's brother, so that they didnt' lose him, titus young, and pettis in 1 year
