1. The Three Colors Trilogy (Blue, White, Red)
2. Dollars Trilogy
3. Godfather (Part 3 just kills it from being #1)
4. Original Star Wars (Return of the Jedi kills it from being #2)
5. Terminator (1 and 2 nail it out of the park; 3 sucks.)
I've never seen LOTR Trilogy.

Christopher Nolan's Batman. Boom I went there. It's like calling a home run.
But on a serious note - Lord of the Rings.

I love the Terminator movies and I dont care if one sucks! I dont count the abortion that is Salvation.

Indiana Jones
Star Wars
both epic.
Godfather 1 and 2 are fantastic, but 3 shite the bed and ruined its chances for top spot

Star Wars is the only acceptable answer to this question
For an old timer like me, it's the John Ford trilogy on the US Cavalry:
Fort Apache
She Wore a Yellow Ribbon
Rio Grande

Nostalgia makes me want to pick Star Wars but my logic says LOTR. Hobbit 2012

i could never get into lotr, and i feel ashamed to say that. I actually have not seen the second half of fellowship, so i can't really judge that film. i was pretty bored with two towers, hate if you want, but i thought that movie wasn't very necessary in the story except for the appearance of gollum. the third one was good, but it's sometimes hard for me to distinguish the two towers and return of the king from each other.
All that to say, Toy Story is the obvious winner

Star Wars IV-VI
LOTR, Back to the Future and Indiana Jones are also great but Star Wars was my absolute favorite series to watch growing up and still is.
The Godfather Part III isn't completely terrible but, like the prequel Star Wars films, it failed to deliver with all of the groundbreaking expectations.

It's hard to say until after they've filmed Caddyshack 3.
