Why are we getting hammered about...

the 400+ passing yards we gave up????
That's all I keep hearing from Bama fans at work today, calling LSU overrated and saying that WVU exposed us for who we really are. I don't quite understand their logic behind this, but these Bama fans say that after watching the WVU game, they know they have the SEC West won without question
LSU is still the best defense in the country IMHO, and the competition we have played in four weeks in close to being tougher than Alabama's entire 2011 schedule.
The only other team on our schedule to come close to an offense similar to WVU will be Arkansas, and that's not even close.
I still say LSU has the scariest defense and best secondary in the nation, no questions asked!!!

Because according to way too many football fans, passing yards = victories. The same reason people are/were ragging on JL for not throwing 300+ a game

I dont' put much stock in the passing yards....he threw the ball a ton and we played prevent most of the 4th quarter

The 'Bama fans are morons in the area of football knowledge. They don't deserve the coaching staff they have if that's their level of sophistication about game planning for a different style of offensive opponent. Smile at them and show them your arse.

I'd tell them they'd better be worrying about Florida this weekend and quit worrying about LSU's defense giving up 400+ passing yards while winning by 26 on the road.

They are insecure and trying to make them selves feel better. Our D will be better against more traditional offenses. We didn't try to hit Geno we will go after bamas QB. I am only worried about florida and Arkys offense.

Passing yards are a very misleading stat. I would take 180+ yds rushing over 400+ yds passing everyday of the week.

A team that can't run the ball will not win the game. The defense was by design. If you want to criticise, then yards after the catch would be something that would cause a concern. We never blitzed. We were in a hostile environment. We had superior players and coaches and we beat the shite out of them. It was said on NFL today that a team that just passes for most part never wins the game, because there are too many opportunities for turnovers.

Geno Smith threw the ball 60+ times and Chavis went to a more non aggressive defense in the 2nd half. That's the simple reason they got so many passing yards.

No shite......People are not realizing this it the 3rd game out of 4 that LSU has scored more than 40 points with 2 of those teams being ranked in the top 20....Scoring 40 last couple of seasons was unheard of
