Not all LSU fans are convinced that aggie is such a good thing. Is there anyway to keep the SEC at 12 or at the least take two other teams like NC State or Va Tech or FSU or even Rice?

Any chance at all? Aggie just doesn't belong in the SEC. The SEC is not about Aggie feeling good about itself. Let aggie work out their Bevo problem first. I mean would you date a women who's still messed in the head over the other guy to the point where all she does is talk about her ex? That's Aggie for you. All we'll hear is about how Texas did this and did that.

Hell we'd have to hear their fight song which is Bevo obsessed.

This really isn't LSU's decision the conference wants exposure in Texas. Plus LSU getting to play in Texas every other year is not a bad thing. It get's us more in touch with Texas highschools.

lol I skimmed over this and missed that gem. Rice's alumni and prestige in sports is nowhere near A&M's.

Your comment reminds me of the junk e-mails I get from the children of royalty in parts of Africa and Asia. You know, the ones that ask you to wire money.

And Texas' fight song references A&M...

"Texas fight, texas fight...and it's goodby to A&M"

If anything the two songs are more fitting than ever since they are both about saying "goodbye" to eachother...

Goodbye to texas university, so long to the orange and the white..."

they mention A&M instead of OU?

interesting since it contradicts Horns statements on who their bigger rival is

So you make my point stronger. No Aggie and no Bevo solo. Now if both can join for 13 and 14 that's fine. But Rice would open up Texas markets and be a western version of Vandy which is better for the conference than Aggie making unnecessary trouble.

Aggie is too different and alone it's not good enough without Texas.

Ummm ...
I am guessing that OP has never been to Rice. Rice would open up the West U neighborhood of Houston to the SEC. That's a neighborhood where homes start around $500k or $600k. There aren't too many kids in that area going to public colleges. No one outside of West U pays *any* attention to Rice athletics. If LSU played a game at Rice, there would be 35k LSU fans there and about 5k Rice fans. I've been to a lot of games at Rice Stadium. The high school kids you're looking to recruit wouldn't even realize that there was a game being played.

Rice?!?

Dude, I am sorry that your partial lobotomy went so badly!

The OP has gotta be trolling. No one is that dumb. The whole idea of Rice as a good fit for the SEC is just the icing on the cake. My evening jog around the Rice campus tonight will be extra entertaining as i reflect on the idiocy displayed by the OP.

I thought you were talking about rice with a small "r". I don't think there is a chance to stop A&M to the SEC... time to embrace the change, yell leaders and all.

A&M is a bad fit for the SEC. You are too insecure about Bevo. Academically you're one of the best, but if the SEC is about athletics then the SEC doesn't need a school whose too obsessed over another school not even in the conference.

Aggies are worse about Texas than Buckeyes and Spartans are about Michigan.

that's also because not all fans have an IQ over 14 either. Just go look at the Rant

Any LSU fan that cant see the overwhelming positives in bringing on A&M should go play in traffic

no, the whole song isn't.

never mind the fact that "texas fight" was created in response to A&M having a song called Farmers Fight. Hell, they even used the same music A&M was using for FF. Listen closely and you will notice "texas fight" is simply a slightly modified version of Taps played at a faster tempo.
