TAMU fans that watched Ole Miss, Auburn and Kentucky this weekend? Yes, we're still interested. LSU was impressive, but we learned that last January if we didn't already know it. 40 point wins against Missouri State and Kent State aren't impressive, even to us. Nice try though.

Nice place to grow up, and it will be a hotbed of LSU-A&M friendly rivalry when this happens. Had lots of friends from HS that went to LSU.
EDIT: And honestly, even if the SEC had demolished all competition this weekend, that wouldn't change any of our views. This isn't about us coming in expecting to become a powerhouse, most of us know it will take time in football and accept that. It's being a part of stable conference where we don't have to constantly be battling our rival school. And add Georgia's offensive uniforms to my above list.

Just admit that Alabama's defense scares the shite out of you.

I don't think you guys realize how excited we are to finally trade all the crappy football and worthless fan bases here in the big 12 for the SEC.
like everyone says, we've been an underachiever for almost an entire century. so even if we don't improve, at least we can stay at our current level but in a conference that is interesting and that makes me want to never miss out on season tickets. I don't really see how this can be an overall negative for us in football. in other sports we will still be competitive.

Still interested. Bama and Arkie beat up on glorified NAIA schools, and honestly Oregon beat themselves just as much as LSU beat them. 4 TO's against any good team and the game is going to look pretty one-sided.

I can understand that, that's one thing I like about Texas A&M, ya'll seem to have a very passionate fan base compared to the rest of the Big 12.
I look forward to playing ya'll in the future. I think the snow bowl was the last time MSU and TAMU played each other, that was a hell of a game.

We beat the shite out of em. Final score was closer than the game actually was.

ok...bama guy. true. competition is at its best here in the new 'hood.
honestly. couldn't watch much of the bama game. but i'll trust your word that it is one of the best.
lsu, man, what a performance. speed and size killed oregon. and lee looked pretty poised and smart.
lsu vs bama in tusca define 2/3 thirds of the NC

At this point: LSU, Bama, Arky, MSU, Florida, USC. The difference between Arky and Florida is minimal though and those three could be in any order. LSU is first because they are the only school out of those that had a major challenge and obviously answered the call. USC is last because they gave up 37 points to East Carolina. All the above teams are impressive though.
Bama's defense looks fantastic, I cannot wait to see Bama-LSU this year. That should be a true SEC slugfest.

Other than Bama, LSU, and maybe Florida, our talent on defense is enough to compete in the SEC and it is only going to get better. We will have to get some true studs on the DL though.
As for offense, A&M would only come in second to maybe Arkansas (and thats debatable). We have zero issues with offensive talent.

Bob, I'd tap the breaks on that just a bit. Our first year in the SEC we lose Tannehill, Gray and Fuller with no proven backup at QB to take Tannehill's place. Unless he gets hurt this year we're going to have either a freshman or sophomore starting at QB that's never started a college game.
At RB we'll have Michael (if he doesn't bolt early) then who else? You need two PROVEN backs to take the pounding every week.
Still don't have a proven TE either.
We will have an OL that is equipped to compete but question marks everywhere else.
The Fran years are STILL rearing their ugly head as far as recruiting goes. One or two more classes and we'll be OK, but next year could be ugly.
Shoulda, coulda, but it would have been very nice to leave last year and have this be our first year in the SEC. We'd still be playing Arkansas, but wouldn't be playing OU in Norman.
This is a senior laden team that I think would have done well in this year's SEC.

I'm ready, that's for sure. The most important thing offensively will be our stout line. The big guys up front will make things easier for us.
Bring it! Can't wait to start traveling to the SEC venues...besides LSU. Been there, not impressed in the least.

LSU is second to none in atmosphere
top 10 in size
unparalleled in tailgating
Game at Tiger Stadium/Tailgating/General Atmosphere didn't impress you and you can't wait to see the other SEC venues!
WTF do you want to see - male cheerleaders clutching their nuts!!!

Until we prove otherwise, we are a mid-pack SEC team. LSU is sick, and Alabama is right there with them. But, bring it on!!!!
