I'm more of a believer that the marathoners are better athletes.
The WR holders run sub 5 minute miles for 26 in a row. How many people on this site can even run 1 5 minute mile?

I chose him because at his height 6'5" he holds the WR in a sport that should be dominated by shorter sprinters. In the last 40 yrs the 100 meters WR only changed by .37 seconds. I dont know the limits of the human body, but I would dare to say we are close to that limit.

At peak speed, he's running at 28 m.p.h., but I don't think he's very coordinated. The reason Jamaica puts him on the third leg of the 4x100 relay, as opposed to second leg or anchor where most coaches put the studs, is because he has problems carrying the baton with his left hand.

6'5" may be on the tall side, but the greatest sprinters in track and field have typically been over six feet.

Why do people keep saying this? Other than running really really fast why is he an athlete? Can he hit a baseball? Catch a football? Return a tennis serve? Shoot a basketball?
Simply running fast in no way makes someone the best athlete, it just makes them the fastest runner.

Current?
I have no clue... but I'll pick a darkhorse (:noracist:)... Jon Jones. Strength, speed, agility, skill, poise, etc.
Living?
Gotta be Dave Winfield, right?
