COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M University today officially notified the Big 12 Conference that the institution will submit an application to join another athletic conference. Should this application be accepted, Texas A&M will end its membership in the Big 12 Conference effective June 30, 2012.

If you get in a time machine and go back two days, then post this on the Conference Expansion board, it would have still been a shitty thread.

Arky can't go back to the Big 12 fast enough.

It's a Tx school. I have to spell it like they say it to make them feel welcome.

When the 14th team says theyre coming.

Acceptance within 2 weeks - probably less.
14th team speculation within moments. I've heard that the SEC has reached out to Oklahoma and they are interested (everyone hates Texas). Kind of a long shot to get Oklahoma unless we go to 16 teams b/c they'll almost certainly have to bring State with them.
I think the 14th ends up being Va Tech and I would expect that to be announced sometime after the Jan bowls at the latest. Just my opinion based on chatter.

I'm a big proponent for Va Tech, FSU, or Ga Tech.

Would you rather get OU or VT?

If the SEC is going to expand to 14 then the 14th should be FSU, Va Tech, or OU IMO.
Clemson, Ga Tech, Mizzou, Maryland, etc are options but lesser options IMO

Va Tech.
Fsu had their chance, and screw GT. They can wallow in their misery.

It's cute how you think the school Presidents are emotional in making their decisions like you are in expressing your opinions.
Posted on 8/31/11 at 10:35 am to Alahunter
Apparently the SEC won't be adding any teams from states that currently have an SEC team.

I've been purposely avoiding these "conference expansion" threads like the plague because I figured it to be just a bunch of nonsense to get Texas to get off their throne. Now that it appears to be for sure that we're expanding, I'll follow it a little closer. Really curious to see how the divisions are affected, as well as the perma-rival from opposite division, and rolling opponents.

Grow up. Common sense will tell you neither of those will be coming either. FSU brings nothing market wise, nor does GT. You seem to come into every thread I post in with a childish remark, instead of talking about actual issues. You're as bad as that other kid.
