Is Modern Family worth watching?

I had good advice on Party Down from the board. But isn't MF an ABC product? How can it possibly be good? The wife wants to give it a shot.

Myself, I've only seen a couple of episodes and thought it was good. I know many others that watch it though and they all love it.

The show doesn't have a laugh track. It respects your intelligence. It is the best comedy going on TV today.

It's very well done by today's standards. It was pretty funny from the start so if the first few episodes don't do it for you can quit. It's not a series where it takes half a season to start working.

It's one of the funniest shows on TV. To compare it to Arrested Development as one poster said he's heard is a bit ludicrous, though. AD was way drier and more Jason Bateman awkwardly plying through a psychotic family. Modern Family is not centered on one character and, though awkward at times, funny in other respects. Regardless, it's funny because Christopher Lloyd made it. Enjoy
