I am hoping to purchase a new boat in the next one to two years or perhaps sooner if a spectacular deal comes my way and am pretty much set on a catamaran. I have been looking at the Glacier Bay 22, Worldcat 23sf and old sea cat SL5. Just looking for the OB opinion on these type hulls.

I can't remember the type of boat we use to go on but I think it was a 26' sea Kat, took waves good just a slow boat

I fish with a guide in Bay St. Louis who's got a 26 Twin Vee- awesome set up- can run it in the marsh and looks like you could still run offshore with it. Roomy, really stable, nice ride, and the Twin Vees (in that size) go for about $60K- so I think it's a good value also.

I dive with a guy that has a 26 Twin Vee. My complaint is that there is no ice chest built in and there is really no storage

I have fished on World Cats, Twin Vees, and Glacier Bays. The only thing that bothered me was the speed and the "sneeze", other than that they are great riding boats. Never been on one of these, but it sure looks badass.

They have what looks like at least a 24' catamaran for sale on the way to Dularge/Falgout Canal FYI. Not sure if that's one of the ones you're looking at already though. Also forgot what brand it is, but it's been there for a couple, maybe a few months, now so he'd probably let it go for cheap if he's motivated.

I've goT a 20 twin vee and have had no mfg. Issues. Boats been great. Soft ride...great on fuel.

I doubt I'll ever go back to a v hull.

I had a 22 seacat way back when. We constantly had water in the boat as the deck was not high enough/crowned to drain to the scuppers.

Moved up to a 26 glacier bay. Much nicer, deck was much better. Did have a scupper hose come loose and fill one hull that was pretty scary.

Both were slow. Both had trouble in a following sea as described above. Ride was great for passengers in following or side seas, but as the captain, a little uncomfortable as the natural tendancy to turn in response to waves is opposite in a cat.

Have moved on to a 28 ft monohull.
