Spencer Ware came to mind, but I see Miles using Blue, Ford, and perhaps Gore in games no matter how well Ware is doing due to apparent philosophy of massive alternating.
Other teams will ride a guy out who is averaging 5 yards per carry. I understand the commitee approach keeps them fresh and healthy.
At the tailback position I think many great HS running backs avoid us knowing the Heisman dream is impossible.
But many superb backs do come because they know they will get a chance to play regardless of wether or not they are the best back in the stable.
Overall, it has worked. But I get sick thinking of the Kentucky game of our national championship year when Charles Scott was just getting started to run roughshed over the kentucky D and he went back to Hester and company anyway. Then on the biggest play of the game, Charles Scott c0mes back in for his obvious run attempt that failed.
Hester was awesome, dont get me wrong. But even in a comitte approach you let Scott keep getting snaps in that game.
I also thought that many of hester's 3-15 yard runs would have gone for a lot more with the other backs.
Keiland Williams one run against virginia Tech PLUS his rookie NFL success as a third-down back suggest he was under-utilized.
I hope Spencer Ware is a Jacob Hester in Les Miles' mind.
I think Deangelo Peterson will be an awesome pro w/ his coming out party this year.
The face- Rueban Randle, the story Zach Mettenberger.
Defense- The face, Sam Montgomery, the story- Tharold Simon and SEC sack leader Bavarious mingo

so far its been JJ, unfortunatly for him ( or maybe fortunatly) he hasn't played any games yet, so its all just hype.
I don't know, don't have a PP or a Nevis or SHeppard this year.
Somebody will surface though.

Akiem Hicks. I'm surprised we didn't see more of him last year, but this should definitely be his breakout year.

Mo Claiborne. Not only because he is an All-SEC and All- American type player but because he is supposed to be one of the kick returner.

Please tell me this is sarcasm. If not, I think I may have seen an all new level of stupidity on the rant.

And I want to change my answer to JJ or Ware. I think JJ will be, for better or for worse.

Yeah.. since Miles has been here we've been more or less a feature back kind of program.
