Les Miles says Simon will be opposite Claiborne during SEC media days. I like it, keep T-Raw wreaking havoc at nickel.

I figured as much after watching how beastly Simon was in the spring game.

I like that too. If Simon is ready to be a #2 I like his bigger frame on the outside and let TM play the slot and continue to blitz off the end.

That's exactly what we need to do. Let TM play close to the ball.

This is a really good move IMO. Simon is a future All-SEC CB.

In fact, Mo/Mathieu/Simon are all All-American caliber DB's. We staaaaaacked. SEC is fuuuuuuuucked.

Simon should be fun to watch. There aren't many 6'3 CBs out there

So is this a indication of us going to a nickel defense mostly bc of our obvious deficiencies at the lb position?

Both players are good so I have no heartburn about it.

simon has the ability and like his potential...Trex reminds me of jerico nelson, one of the most underated defensive players in the SEC

Thats bullshite. Tyrann is the best corner on this team. I don't give a frick about height or size. He's much better than Simon.

Personally, TM is a guy you want all over the field. He's totally instinctive and when you have a gift like that he should not be put in a predictable situation. He's not a prototypical lock-down corner. He is a playmaker - let him play.
