Yeah, according to "the blind side" movie Michael Oher too. Oh well he didn't stay now he's Tiger bait.

Saban had it rolling in and around state when he left. Not many would have left if he stuck it out. McKnight sucked at USC and still sucks.

Was a whole thread on MSB about it:

USC RB Marc Tyler on USB (University of Sexual Ballers): "They breakin bread"

The only thing USC tailback Marc Tyler was running after a night out in Hollywood was his mouth -- 'cause dude dropped killer jokes about Kim Kardashian ... and Trojans getting paid. LOL ... ?

It wasn't just Saban. It was the combo between him and his assistants.

He had the coaching staff from living hell when he was here. In my opinion, much better than what he has at Bama right now.

This guy would have left LSU with under 1000 yards of production and cost us a game or two with fumbling.

It was the answer to the question, "Did you guys get paid more in college or the pros?" Tyler's response...and he didn't hesitate...: "USC, they breaking bread!"

But all Joe McKnight is remembered for in his home state is that he didn’t sign with LSU.

/thread.

He is a memory, and not an a LSU one either. Should be a lesson to all in-state players who don't care to play for our beloved Tigers

Well, it certainly allowed Miles/LSU/our fans to one up Carrol/USC/JC/USC fans.

Where anyone goes to college is a 100% personal call and shouldn't give any of us a reason to dislike a kid.imo

There are lots of examples of non-La guys picking LSU over their home state.

Anyone else think Saban would've moved him to DB?

+1

And clearly a case of unhealthy man-boy obsession. Kids choose colleges for a lot of reasons, and I tell you what: if I was faced with a choice of getting free room, board, and education in Baton Rouge or Southern Cal, it wouldn't take much encouragment to pack my bags. The only thing going for local kids is being close to family and maybe some of these guys don't like their family that much.

Short story long: McKnight picked the wrong horse in that race though.

McKnight got paid to go to USC. A former JC player who was friends with McKnight told me that he knew personally about a $25,000 payment. I heard that a couple of years ago, even before the Reggie Bush stuff broke.

That's the way I think most of us look at it- today, no one in Louisiana cares about Joe McKnight, unless he was suddendly traded to the Saints.
