I've been to Oak Mountain in Birmingham a few times and want to try somewhere new. Anybody know of anything else decent around here?
I don't have time to go west or get to North Carolina/Eastern Tenn.

I used to Mountain Bike back in the day. We would go to Clear Spring Campground in Mississippi. The trails were always in good shape and it had alot more elevation there than the Comite trails, obviously.
EDIT: here is a link

I forgot about Clear Springs, I've been meaning to check it out.
Is there any significant climbing/downhills or is it kind of boring?

Overall it's a pretty good singletrack. I wouldn't say it's boring, but I wouldn't compare it to places I rode in Tennessee either. There are plenty uphill climbs (some are pretty tough climbs actually) and there are several really smooth downhill parts.
It's only about an hour and a half or so from BR, we used to go quite often an d we always enjoyed it!

I'd absolutely love to go ridein Whistler, BC. Had a trip lined up last summer, but some guys backed out and ruined the trip for everyone. Ive never ridden anything other than the Hooper Rd. trails, but now I don't have a bike anymore, so my ridin days are over for now.

Lincoln Parish Park in Ruston.
I think at one point it was at top 25 Mountain Bike trail in the nation.

Check out Lake Valentine/Lake Kincaid near Gardner, west of Alexandria.
We used to camp/hike there and saw quite a few mountain bikers.
Beautiful area not many know anything about.

The Azalea Trail
The longest singletrack trail system in LA. Some very good climbs.

I'm not into mountain biking but there is a Baton Rouge club and from what I understand they have built a pretty sweet track/trail/etc for the public on hooper I believe.
