How did everybody do? Thursday night we got drunk and tried frogging from a truck, only caught 4, and Friday night I tried using the Cajun special with the 48 Johnson. It's definitely no mud boat . Only caught 6 and when we got back to the launch at 2AM my truck had a flat
Saturday evening went crawfishing, caught 2 and a half sacks in 3 to 3.5 hours.
Launched at Bayou Gauche yesterday morning, ended up keeping 20 really big bream. We lost a couple of really nice reds and a bass in the morning, and to my silver max is fricked, I made 5 or 6 casts with it and the spool won't lock anymore
But all in all an eventful and fun weekend.

What say you?

We left at 9 PM Friday night, drove all night and dove EI/SS in the morning. We got our asses kicked friday night and saturday morning

We ended up shooting 10 red snapper (biggest was 21 smallest was 12ish), 10ish mangroves (all between 12 and 7 pounds), 1 lemonfish (20#), 1 warsaw (38#), 1 black drum (35#), a couple sheephead (biggest was 9#) and triggers (6#) also

We didnt shoot any HUGE fish but we still came in and dam near swept the Aqua Aces Rodeo. We only had 7 Hell Divers in the water on a total of 2 boats both diving only 1 day and still won the rodeo

Went out of Fourchon Saturday morning and it was rough in the beginning. Had motor problems so weren't able to get far enough out to get the red snapper and only ended up with 7 Mangroves, 1 African Popino (sp?), and a lane.

Went out to the West Delta Block yesterday and tore up some snapper. 60 Mangroves (all 20" and bigger) and 12 Red Snapper (all over 8 lbs), 1 trigger, 1 Layne, and 1 Popino. Had our limit by 10:30 am. Seas were dead calm

Rough weekend for me. Only got to fish Saturday morning out of my kayak. Went to my cousins house who lives in an old neighborhood on a lake. Caught 10-12 bass, all over 2 lbs, with the biggest pushing 4.

Tore the floor out of my grandmaw's bathroom and replaced it the rest of the weekend.

Friday morning I caught 3 bass from the yak at Univ Lakes.

Saturday our softball team won 12-7. Then I almost died of heat exhaustation doing yard work.

Sunday I went to Houma to visit my brother who was in from VA.

So not much fishing, but I am planning on going to GI this Thursday and Friday. I am already useless at work.

Fished in the fishing for memories tourney Friday and sat. Had to miss Sunday b/c father n law was knighted by French govt in new Orleans.

Fished Joseph's harbor Friday. Caught several specks and a couple reds. Nothing big enough to place. Sat we fished vermilion bay ( due to time constraints). We caught some big arse croakers. Water is way too fresh right now for specks or reds. We places second in croaker division. Lol. 1.02lb croaker. All in all it was fun... Just great to be out on water

Headed to grand isle July 15-17 on a (business trip). Going chase some tuna. Looking forward to it. Any of you guys gonna be in that area that weekend?

quick snapper trip out of tiger pass to pick up a 9 man limit of snapper mid day saturday. they averaged about 8lbs or so. the next we day we trolled the rip all day. conditions were perfect, but sadly the bite wasn't. we wound up with 2 wahoo about 15lbs a piece and about a 30lb dolphin. the other boat went to west bay and picked up there snapper limit and caught about 10-15 mangroves. not a bad weekend, but i definitely have had better, but i'll never complain about two days of offshore fishing for free!

we also say a white marlin jump in front of the boat and a pretty big blue. he was probably about 400-500lbs. he never chased the bait though.

Fished Joseph Harbor Saturday. The water was dirty everywhere we tried, even the Bertrand Canal. Wound up catching one decent flat fish and one nice croaker. Had to throw for a couple hours, but finally got our limit of shrimp.

I caught 2 undersized reds, and my son caught 2 as well. The first was his first redfish ever. He was so excited, it didn't matter that we had to throw it back.
