Webber is definitely near the top of that list. Awful to think one of his best teams was cheated out of an opportunity to win the whole thing.

Here's one I'll throw out that has not been mentioned. Sidney Moncrief. I don't think that guy gets the respect he deserves. Milwaukee had the 3rd best winning percentage in the 1980s (behind LA and Boston), but since they never got into the Finals Moncrief has never gotten his due. Would have loved to see him accomplish more.

1. Chris Jackson, pg, LSU. Could have been an NBA Hall of Famer had he not let other people brainwash him. He was too hard headed but had one of the quickest crossover dribbles. He could have been someone in the Association.

2. The Houston Astros 90's version. Had access to many all-star pitchers and position players but could never get over the hill. Got swept against the White Sox. Seems like a fail when you let Luis Gonzales and Randy Johnson move on and win a championship with Arizona. Even Curt Shilling was in the Astros' organization at one time. Management did not want to pay the money to excel.

We don't win the 2007 SEC Championship without him.

OK. MR REACHER. WE WOULD HAVE NOT EVEN made the SECCG with him. He brought the team to a whole 14 points in that game. WOW!!! If it wasn't for the D against a VERY avg. TENN team LSU would have been OUT.

Wanted to see the Knicks win it all. A sure Hall of Famer, he's just missing a ring.

To me, Reggie Bush is the perfect example. Amazing athlete and great CFB that just couldn't quite translate as an elite guy on the next level. RB has been a good role player.

They had one of the highest payrolls in the league earlier this decade. The problem was that Drayton and company didn't always spend their money properly.

The 2001 Seattle fricking Mariners

MLB record - 116-46.. to put things in perspective, the Phillies who have the best record in MLB right now, already have 30 losses.

Freddy Garcia: 18-6
Aaron Sele: 15-5
Jamie Moyer: 20-6
Paul Abbott: 17-4
John Halama: 10-7

Garcia led the AL in ERA. Ichiro was the AL MVP/Rookie of the Year. Pinella was the AL Manager of the year.

The A's won 102 games and still finished 14 games out of first place.

Unreal.
