like chris low?

Jordan Jefferson, QB, LSU: Like Brantley, Jefferson's numbers were laughable in 2010. But he has a new offensive coordinator in Steve Kragthorpe, who worked tirelessly with him to improve his mechanics and presence. Head coach Les Miles said Jefferson had the best spring of his career at LSU, but the jury is still out on what he could do this fall. There are adequate weapons around him who should put up solid numbers and his maturity isn’t in question. If Jefferson is as improved as LSU's camp says he is, the Tigers will be right in the thick of the SEC West title until the very end.

or....can you start being negative yesterday?
i'm gonna step back and watch how negative the rant can be.

anyone positive? like me?

I agree with this, and I also would love to eat those words.

If LSU is a BCS contender and JJ starts every game, he will be in the Heisman race. I don't see why people don't get this. Maybe too many years watching JJ has made it seem impossible. Just look at some past Heisman winners, you don't even have to be that good to win... Crouch, White, Smith, the list goes on.

This might sound nuts but yes I can!

It is all a matter of whether he can play like he did in the first half of the UNC game last year. The guy looked like a good QB. With a new OC, I can def agree that this could happen.

Likelyhood - 25% chance but it could happen!

Andrew Luck wins the Heisman in 2011 unless his arm falls off!

Cam Newton won it at Auburn with running one basic play that showcased his running ability. Before Auburn (which he only played one year) who the hell knew who he was?

He parlayed a one-year showcase into the heisman, and #1 overall pick in the NFL draft.

If Jefferson starts to roll like the Bama game 2nd half at all, and LSU starts routing people, he will be in the discussion.

If JJ throws 40 td's, for 3,500 yds and only 7 ints, you bet I can.

But...

[link=(Jeff Demps, Jordan Jefferson and Stephen Garcia are unconventional Heisman candidates.)]LINK[/link]

No one is going to consider these serious candidates for the heisman, even Low. I suppose you didn't read the whole article.

I can. I would love for JJ to have a Andrew Luck type year throwing the ball and make the rant meltdown

I can't believe Chris Low would even hint at that.

I can get on board with JJ, in fact I've always have been pro JJ and want him to succeed. He's LSU's QB and I don't like seeing any of our guys struggle like he has. But to even think that JJ has an outside shot at the heisman is ludicrous. Even if he had a breakout season, Jason Campbell style, there's just no way.

I'm as positive as a tigerfan as there is, but the amount of improvement he'd have to do to win is impossible. If we are undefeated in the Nat. Championship than Ware or whomever is our leading rusher has a shot.

Exactly like Greg McElroy

Seriously? LSU was a BCS contender last year and JJ started every game ... how many times was he mentioned as a Heisman contender last year?
