Damn I forgot how bad this movie was. I was laughing the whole time. Book was MUCH better.

I actually think it's gotten better with age; has a lot of cheeky social commentary that went unnoticed by me when it first came out. Not to mention a new found appreciation for Dina Meyer.

Oh, I thought it was funny as satire, making fun of the military and right wing positions, but as sci fi? nah. was pretty bad.

I'm all for "not take yourself too seriously and enjoy the flick" movies from time to time, but this was a straight to bargain bin DVD that made it to the big screen somehow.
"Let's try to get the biggest pansies we can find and try to make them look like hard core soldiers. And then let's make their weapons sound like airsoft guns. And THEN let's find a solid movie veteran to play the leader of some of the worst actors you can find. And can someone get Doogie's number?"
