When anyone switches from A&M to commit somewhere else, that player and his family was receiving death threats, their family would never be hired anywhere in the state, and the coaches paid them off. It's even more pathetic to watch that whole site wish harm upon players like Fobbs and the LBer that went to Oklahoma that same year

For some reason that site has this perception that A&M is the best place on Earth and any player would be crazy not to go there with Sherman at the helm

Darion Monroe, Alonzo Williams, Jerald Hawkins, and Lorenzo Phillips should be there, but no Denzel Devall.

I think the only Aggie commit to switch over would be Hawkins. I don't think Monroe will get an offer and the staff will slow play Williams. I don't see Borque flipping unless Les tells dad something he really wants to hear such as his son being the only RB they will sign for the class.

Not really. A&M has a commit from a more highly touted RB than LSU at the moment (even though Lamar Louis received RB MVP recently over Trey Williams), so why would Les need to say that? If Bourque switches to LSU, it's because he sees LSU as a better place to play football than A&M, not because Les Miles makes guarantees.

Monroe likely won't get an offer unless he shows out at camp. If he wants to be at LSU badly enough to go to camp and earn an offer, I see him switching as well.

Link?? From TSD:

"From Lorenzo Phillips to Denzel Devall, the LSU staff has organized some of Louisiana's best"

Makes it sound as if Devall is going.

Someone posted a quote from Devante's dad that he was disappointed that LSU offered Lamar Louis before his son even though he didn't play at all last season. He probably wasn't aware that Louis was offered as an athlete and most likely will play linebacker. Also, Devante prefers to play runningback and the initial offer was to play receiver.

meaning there's either been some miscommunication going on, or some misleading...not on LSU's side.

but, yeah, LSU's offer is at WR at the moment, and i don't think they back down from it. just IMO anyway.

Txags thinks this means he is theirs. I think that is maybe jumping to conclusions a bit early, no?

How does the picnic work? Do only "committable" offers get invited? Wish we did something like this, seems like a great way to get families and coaches together when a practice is NOT going on.'

ETA: NOT

I believe he will commit to A&M on June 4th or 5th when he is there for a camp. This was the belief even before this weekend.

No, hence Monroe and Williams have been invited. We are slow-playing both of them until camp, you can bet on that.

The state is usually loaded with DBs and DEs, and we'll take our time and pick which ones we want. If you don't come to camp, oh well. That's kind of our attitude about guys like that....This is what happened with Floyd Raven.

From what he has said in interviews. One thing that worries me is that he is also going to be at Texas that same weekend.

Byran Jones also comes to mind. Never got an offer and skipped out on many opportunities to come here.
